Pokemon Trainer
The heart of a Pokemon Region, most children grow up dreaming of becoming a Pokemon trainer. This rank is the gateway to higher ranks and is the path most taken. These boys and girls deticate their lives to journeying across the lands, making friends, catching Pokemon, collecting the eight gym badges, and challenging the powerful Elite Four. Pokemon Trainers can...
? Receive a Pokemon. These starter Pokemon only start at level ten, though, so it would be wise to train them up a bit on route 1. ? Trainers are almost expected to journey across the land, battling the eight gym leaders of the region and collecting each of the gym badges. After collecting all eight, your character is elligable to challenge the Elite Four and it's Champion. ? Trainers with enough skill (and a decent RPer) can be promoted to a gym leader or Elite Four status if there is a shortage and they have been here long enough. ? If you so choose, your trainer can also join the ranks of Team Imum, doubling up as a trainer and grunt, or abandoning their dreams of becoming the region's Champion.
Pokemon Breeder
Pokemon breeders are people who raise and mate certain species of Pokemon to produce future improvments in the hatched Pokemon, including certain moves or natures. These special type of trainer typically raise large numbers of Pokemon, balancing their party Pokemon, but are concidered 'weak' in the eyes of their fellow Pokemon trainers. Pokemon Breeders can...
? Receive two Pokemon of the same breeding type. These starter Pokemon only start at level ten, though, so it would be wise to train them up a bit on route 1. ? Breeders can also follow the path of a trainer, as well, collecting gym badges if they so choose and challenging the Elite four and it's Champion. ? Breeders do not necessarily have to travel around much, and are more likely to settle down in a home of their own to continue breeding their captured Pokemon. ? If you so choose, your breeder can also join the ranks of Team Imum, doubling up as a breeder and grunt, or abandoning their dreams of becoming a well-respected breeder.
Pokemon Coordinator
A Pokemon Coordinator is a character who raises Pokemon to compete in the Pokemon Contests held across the Lyeant Region. Though they raise their Pokemon in a similar fashion to that of a Trainer, they focus their sights mainly on beauty and appearance, major factors in a contest, rather then strength and agility. They collect ribbons, instead of badges. Pokemon Coordinators can...
? Receive a Pokemon. These starter Pokemon only start at level ten, though, so it would be wise to train them up a bit on route 1. ? Coordinators are trained to journey across the region, challenging contests and earning ribbons as rewards for their voctory above the other coordinators. After collecting five in all, coordinators are allowed to enter the Grand Festival, where their skills as a Pokemon Coordinator are put to the test. ? Coordinators can, at any time, jump over to being a trainer or doubling up to be both. That means they can challenge to Grand Festival and challenge to Elite Four. ? If you so choose, your coordinator can also join the ranks of Team Imum, doubling up as a coordinator and grunt, or abandoning their dreams of becoming the newest top coordinator.
Pokemon Connoisseur
A Pokemon Connoisseur is a character who identifies the compatibility between a Trainer and their Pokemon. They use experiance and knowledge to discover the type of bond between Pokemon and Train and advise a way to strengthen said bond. Connoisseurs are ranked into four classes based on their skills: S being the highest, A being the second best, B being the second worst, and C being the worst of them all. Connoisseurs can...
? Receive a Pokemon. These starter Pokemon only start at level ten, though, so it would be wise to train them up a bit on route 1. ? Connoisseurs are not required to go on any sort of journey to fufill their dreams. They can work from home as much as they like, if they so choose. However, they are expected to try and boost their rank to the best of the best: the S rank. ? Connoiseurs can also double up or switch over to a trainer at any time they choose, so they may compete in the Pokemon League as well as increasing their rank. ? If you so choose, your connoisseur can also join the ranks of Team Imum, doubling up as a connoisseur and grunt, or abandoning their dreams of reaching the esteemed S rank.
Team Imum Grunt
Team Imum Grunts are what make up the whole organization. Without them, there would be no team Imum at all. Though they are generally over looked and do most of the dirty work for the rest of the organization, they are very much appretiated as they do their work with little a complaint. Team Imum grunts can...
? Receive a Pokemon. They start at only level ten, however, so it'd be wise to train them on route 1. ? Grunts are to follow out the orders of those higher in rank without question. This means that they are required to go on missions, steal, or even kill when ordered to do so. ? If your grunt has been a member of Team Imum for a long enough time and have deticated themselves to their work (and they have a decent RPer), they can be promoted to higher ranks: the elites, or even the executives! ? Your grunt does have the option of leaving Team Imum if they do not wish to work for the organization any longer. However, traitors are not taken very well and killed on sight. It is best that, if you wish to have your character leave, you make them on high alert.
Team Imum Elite
These characters are higher in rank then that of the grunts, have a bit more power, but are generally overlooked. Without them, there would be no team Imum at all, though. They do quite a bit of the dirty work for the rest of the organization and keep those pesky little grunts in line. Team Imum elites can...
? Receive a Pokemon. These are, instead of level ten, level twenty. Training is still welcomed, however. ? Elites are to follow out the orders of those higher in rank without question. This means that they are required to go on missions, steal, or even kill when ordered to do so. ? If your elite has been a member of Team Imum for a long enough time and have deticated themselves to their work (and they have a decent RPer), they can be promoted to the next rank: executive! ? Your elite does have the option of leaving Team Imum if they do not wish to work for the organization any longer. However, traitors are not taken very well and killed on sight. It is best that, if you wish to have your character leave, you make them on high alert.
Team Imum Executive
The highest in rank, other then the leader themself, the exectutives are usually the ones who order the grunts and elites around. Carrying out the word of their leader, or even coming up with their own decisions at will, these characters are known to be brutal and skilled in battle. Team Imum Executives can...
? Receive a Pokemon. These are level thirty or lower right off the get go, though a bit of training never hurt anyone. ? Executives can order around their underlings at will, even against the leader's judgement. Just don't get caught, or you'll be in a lot of trouble... ? Your executive does have the option of leaving Team Imum if they do not wish to work for the organization any longer. However, traitors are not taken very well and killed on sight. It is best that, if you wish to have your character leave, you make them on high alert.
Gym Leader
Gym Leaders, aside from the trainers that challenge them, are the most important factor in the Pokemon league. Required to challenge trainers and test their abilities, gym leaders gift only trainers they dub worthy their precious gym badges. They are known to be some of the most powerful trainers of the region and are not to be underestimated. Gym Leaders can...
? Challenge trainers at will. You don't even have to be in your gym in order to hold a battle between a gym leader and a challenger. In fact, you can be in the middle of nowhere. Just make sure you bring your badges with you if you ever go journeying. ? Pass out badges without a battle. Similar to that of the anime rather then the game, you don't necessarily have to challenge a gym leader in order to receive their badge. Gym leaders pass out badges to those they deem worthy. For the same reason, a gym leader can deny you your badge. ? Go on a journey of their own. Gym leaders are not confined to their gym. In fact, if they wish, they can spend as much time away from their gym as possible, training or simply enjoying themselves. ? If you so choose, your gym leader can also be a member of Team Imum, using the skills earned in battles against the human population in order to pursue the organization's dreams.
Elite Four
The elite four are four of the most powerful Pokemon trainers in the land, only outmatched by the champion themself and any challenger that might have the skill to take them on. The farther you progress through this small group, however, the stronger their Pokemon become. Elite Four members can...
? Capture legendaries. Being as strong as they are, they should be capable of capturing these powerful beasts. As long as they don't use them in their battles against league challengers, they are allowed to have these. ? Elite Four members are actually allowed to call out orders to the Gym Leaders of the region, rallying them up against a powerful foe, or for something else very important. They rarely do so, however, so don't overuse this power. ? Go on a journey of their own. Elite Four members are not confined to the league. In fact, if they wish, they can spend as much time away from the other Elite Four members as possible, training or simply enjoying themselves.
Gijinkas
Yes, these half human, half Pokemon creatures are allowed to scurry arround the site. They are incredibly rare, however, and are usually shunned by the rest of society - attacked, even. Therefor, we're holding these to a minimum. However, you are allowed to role play a couple if you so choose. Gijinkas can...
? Go on an adventure! Any of the things above can apply to a gijinka! They can be a trainer, breeder, coordinator... Even a member of the Elite Four. Just remember - hide those ears and tails! Can't let your secret get out!
It is highly suggested that, for your first character, you start off with a Pokemon trainer, breeder, coordinator, or connoiseur to get a hang of role playing with the other members. However, after you think you've got the hang of that, you're welcome to create a character with a rank of anything above. Canon characters from the anime, Pokemon Special, or games are also allowed here. Go crazy! (Not literally, of course...)
