"So many berries... Rufflet, at this rate, I have no idea if we'll leave this place!" Rufflet was busy stuffing its face in a pile of berries and chomping on it. Masamune on the other hand, was bored out of his mind. It was sunset. A light breeze blowing through the trees. Masamune was sitting on a stump while Rufflet was eating berries from under a Sitrus berry tree. Masmaune sighed and gruffed, "Imbucile, we won't get to the next town if you're gonna stuff your face like an all-you-can-eat buffet!!" Rufflet looked up and flew onto Masamune's helmet that Masamune took off. Then he flew onto Masamune's head and started pecking him rapidly. "HEY! STOP IT! RUFFLET!" Masamune picked up Rufflet and put him where the pile of berries were. "Okay, stop trying to kill me and eat. Okay?" Rufflet looked at Masamune, and then the berries, and then to Masamune, and ate the berries again... "GAH! WHAT IS WRONG WITH EVERYTHING?!?! BAKAME!!!"

"Memories mend me" 'N one's seen my share.' "Things I can't repair" I'll break it to you.
Gold had, honestly, come into the forest in search of a tasty treat. He was a little low on money, and decided that the best thing he could do was go collect some berries. Having released Aitaro out of his Pokeball, Gold climbed into a couple trees and began to put all the berries he could into his backpack, along with his monkey Pokemon's help. There were all kinds of berries, and Gold planned to get some of every kind. "Come on, Aitaro! We've gotta pick as many as we can carry!" Gold called to his Pokemon, and the Pokemon let out a cry of determination, throwing another handful of berries in the raven-haired boy's backpack. While stuffing his face with a couple berries, Gold realized that it would soon be dark. "Grab all the berries you can! We've gotta be moving on soon before it gets dark and we get lost or something!" He called out to Aitaro, and the Pokemon began to swing towards him from branch to branch. After grabbing his bag and preparing to climb out of the tree, Gold began to hear what sounded like an argument. Climbing to the edge of a branch, he looked a little ways away to see a man and his Pokemon in a clearing. It seemed apparent that the man was not too happy with his Pokemon, who had begun to peck at his head. Straining to see more, Gold leaned a little too forward, and the branch below him snapped in half. Gold let out a cry of surprise as he fell out of the tree, his golden eyes wide, and landed in a prickly bush next to the tree. "Stupid tree!" He yelled, crawling out of the bush and beginning to pull prickles out of his clothes and skin. Not only had he fell, but in the process he squashed all of the berries in his backpack. Aitaro nimbly jumped down out of the tree, letting out a sigh at the sight of the squished berries. At this rate, his day was not going to turn out so well.

I HAVE A CONFESSION TO MAKE Forests weren't one of Silver's favorite things in the world to put it mildly. In all reality, they made him feel closed off, cramped, and reminded him a bit to much about a certain man's conquest to capture a legendary creature who lived in a shrine in a place much like this. All in all, the location the male had thrown himself into was far from desirable. Not that the time was any better than the place. It was during the hours of late afternoon, early night-time - sunset, if you will - which meant the forest around him would be thrown into darkness all to soon. He didn't feel like getting lost at night that day - oh, no - but, unfortunately, he was already what one could concider "lost". After all, he had lost track of the path and had no idea where he was to be headed.
The sickeningly sweet stench of the infamous berries that grew there made him want to vomit, in all honesty, but he refused to bent over and expel his insides. Not until he was out, anyway. Of course, though, after what seemed to be an eternity of walking, part of him couldn't help but wonder if he ever would get out. At that point, he didn't care if he had to stoop as low as to ask for help from a stranger to make his exit. As long as he was safe and sound on the open plain, he'd be absolutely fine. As though his prayers had been answered, not heartbeats after those thoughts had struck him, shouting resounded throughout the general area that he was in and, a little more desperate than he would have liked to admit, he threw himself in the direction of the noise. "Gah! What is wrong with everything? came the irritated voice from somewhere not to far ahead. He had to bite back a bitter reply, commenting on how foolish it was to get so angry about the woods of all things due to the fact that, if this person could help him, insulting them wouldn't help.
And then his thoughts were driven to a sudden hault by the sound of something being thrown from the heavens above to the ground below.
The red-haired hated to admit that he visibly jumped at the sudden movement and tensed even more at the cry of "Stupid tree!" Of course, not moments later did the rougue trainer realize exactly how familiar that voice sounded and exactly who it was. He didn't know whether to grin at the stupidity of it all or scowl at his foul luck. Turning to see if his theory was correct, he found that the owner of the sceram was who he thought it was - Gold. As the raven-haired child began to pull prickles out of his clothes and - ouch - skin seemingly oblivious to his presense, his Aimbipom looking carefully around at what looked to be the remains of squashed berries, Silver put his hands on his hips and sneered, "Nice landing, moron. Now I remember why you didn't want to join the circus when given the oppritunity."

Riolu sprinted down the dirt path through the forest. "Riolu! Wait up please!" Ranamru called. Riolu stopped and looked back at Ran. "Arigato Riolu!" Ranmaru smiled. "HEY! STOP IT! RUFFLET!" "Huh?" Ranmaru thought, "That sounds like..." "Okay, stop trying to kill me and eat. Okay?" "No..." Ran debated with himself. "GAH! WHAT IS WRONG WITH EVERYTHING?!?! BAKAME!!!" Ran's face turned red. "Masamune-sama..." He squeaked softly, "Riolu! Let's go!" Ran quickly walked through some bushes with riolu. Ran looked up from a bush and saw his One-Eyed Dragon sitting on a stump. Ran's eyes immediately filled with over-powering joy. "MASAMUNE-SAMA!!!" Ranmaru ambushed and jumped up from that bush and tackled Masamune. "Masamune-sama!" Ranmaru hugged him and kissed him, "I missed you so much!" Ranmaru got up from the ground and smiled at Masamune. "Masamune-sama, why are you here?"

There was a shuffle in a bush.
Masamune looked at the bush.
"Oh what now-"
"MASAMUNE-SAMA!!!!" Ranmaru suddenly jumped out of the bush Masamune was looking at.
"Ranmaru what are yo- GAH!!!" Ranmaru jumped onto Masamune and tackled him.
"Masamune-sama!" Ranmaru immediately kissed and hugged Masamune.
"Ran, get the heck off of me!!!" Masamune screamed as his face was bright red.
Ranmaru got off of Masamune and smiled.
"Masamune-sama, why are you here?"
"Nothing, Rufflet was the one that dragged out here." Masamune blushed and glared to the side.
"Why are you here huh, Ran? Because I don't want to see you." Masamune asked and snarked back.
But... Masamune is stubborn, he speaks in opposites, and really, he missed Ranmaru too.
Masamune picked up a berry and started eating it out of boredom and hopefully, draining out how awkward the situation was.

While picking out the sharp little prickles that the bush stuck into his skin, Gold heard a very familiar voice sneer to him about his "nice" landing. Looking up through his semi-watery eyes, the boy immediately knew who he was looking at. He didn't know any other person with that bright red hair. It could only be Silver! If it had been anyone else mocking his not-so-amazing fall out of the tree, he probably would have gotten angry. However, it was Silver he was talking about. How could he not forgive him? Standing up quickly, and almost running into Aitaro in the process, Gold grinned cheesily. "Hey, Silver! Long time no see!" He called, even though the other boy was only a few feet away. Walking over to the red-haired boy, brushing all of the loose splinters off of his clothes in the process, his gold-colored eyes brightened as he reached Silver. "What brings you to the forest? I didn't think you liked forests all that much." Gold asked, shaking his hair with one hand as he realized that even more splinters were under his hat.

EVERYONE'S GOT THEIR CHAINS TO BREAK HOLDING YOU A small smile - well, more of a smirk, really, than a smile - tugged on Silver's lips as he watched the raven-haired male before him spin around and face him. He was still covered in various thorns and prickles from his pathetic fall, the spikey particles sticking out here and there despite the teen's efforts to remove them, and there was no mistaking how watery his eyes were growing. Oh, what? Was the Dex Holder going to start crying? Well, he had fallen out of a tree, surely, but that didn't seem like any real reason to start bawling, especially with an audience. Who knew? That person who was providing oh so much noise pollution back there could have easily heard crying and come to watch. Now, wouldn't that be embarrassing? Of course, after realizing how horrible the thoughts going on through his head really were, the silver-eyed male cast these ideas from his cranium and, instead, decided to focus on just how happy this boy was to see him. And, boy, how happy he was. He, himself, would never be able to be this happy about something ever.
"Hey, Silver!" his chirped. "Long time no see!" Despite the fact that the two were standing hardly a yard or two away from one another, the less mature of their little duo still made his point by literally yelling at him. The taller did everything he could to not cover his ears and shoot a complaint in the other's direction. The distance between them was crossed shortly after his very rude greeting, splinters being cast from his clothes as he walked, and he continued, "What brings you to the forest? I didn't think you liked forests all that much." He was right, actually, and this... almost surprised him. Almost. Reguardless of the long span of time that they'd known each other, the long-haired Dex Holder still couldn't help but feel like he didn't exactly know Gold as well as some other people did. It still send a bit of shock coursing through him every time the short of them bother pointed out something about him that he hadn't known he'd known.
"I'm... passing through," Silver explained, choosing his words carefully. Why, exactly, had he been there in the first place...? Hm... It was escaping him. "And, no. You're right. I really don't." A scowl masked his face - a rypical expression for him by that point, really - as he said those words, giving the person he was conversing with a moment to process his words and reply before concluding his words with a question. "Well, you know why I'm out here... but why are you here, exactly? You didn't come for a free meal, did you? Every time I see you, so seem to be eating."

"Why are you here huh, Ran? Because I don't want to see you." Masamune asked and snarked back.
Ranmaru knew Masamune didn't mean what he said.
"Well, I was just heading to the next town silly!" He giggled and hugged Masamune again, "I thought I would never see you again, I missed you a lot!"
Ranmaru held Masamune's hand, "Masamune-sama... I was wondering if we could travel together." Ranmaru asked.
Ran knew Masamune would say 'no' right away, but never wanted to get seperated from him ever... again.
Ranmaru sat there in hopes that Masamune would let him travel around with him...
