You wake up, your arm on your head due to the throbbing in it. Letting out a yawn, you get up, get dressed, and walk downstairs, stopping dead as you suddenly realize that, not only do you not know where you are, you also don't know who you are. What's up with all of this, anyways? Your mother calls your name and you flash her a glance, frowning as you try to make out the name she called you by.

"Hello? Gaia?" Your mother repeats, looking at you with concern. "Are you okay?"
"Mom," you say confusedly, "what region are we in?"
Her eyes dilating, your mother looks at you with even more confusion than before, "you're not feeling well, are you? We're in the Hoenn region, of course! Maybe you should go outside, you know, get some fresh air?"
You nod slowly, grab a quick snack, and walk out of your house, chewing busily.
Apparently you meandered along the area for quite some time. After all, before you know it, you're wading through tall grass! A sudden movement steals your attention, and suddenly, there's a Pokemon tackling you! Reaching instinctively for a Pokeball, though you've never had a Pokemon all your own, you were used to your mother's Houndoom being about, and, in the past, had sometimes been forced to return the outrageous Pokemon to his Pokeball if he got too out of control on a walk. Ignoring all of that, who is the Pokemon, and what will you do?

You recognize the coloring and body of a Ralts and you lash the Pokeball in your hand toward it. Standing and leaping back, you wait impatiently, staring intensely at it. Though you didn't hurt it, it's probably weak, considering the Pokemon around your town do happen to be weak. Maybe you can- your thoughts are interrupted by the confirmation that the Ralts has been captured. Eyes shining, you run over to the Pokeball, squeal in happiness, then release your Pokemon. "Hmm," you say aloud, "what to name you, little one?"
It's a female Ralts, by the way.
