Two... One... I'm in position. It's show time." The conveniance store of the Pokemon World - more commonly refered to as the Poke' Mart - was loaded. Everything from potions to Poke' Balls were crammed onto the shelves in the tiny little blue building, leaving many to wonder just how they fit so much in such a small space. Even blank mail of all things could be purchased in the tiny little place. It was certainly a place of many wonders - after all, their stock of items seemed endless. One could buy ninety-nine Poke' Balls... and then turn around and buy ninety-nine more with no problem whatsoever. This, of course, led almost every trainer in existance to at least one of these places. This also meant that the cash register would be loaded with money. And that was why she was there. Hiding just out of sight was a... girl. Dressed in dark gray and teal colored fabric, she could have stood out or blended in depending on the time of day and environment. Reguardless, with where she had placed herself, she was virtually invisible. Locks of blue-green hair fell carefully only the side of her face and down her back, tied into two very long pig-tails. Well, save for the messy bangs around her face. She would certainly stand out in a crowd, which had to make people wonder... Just what was she doing acting so sneaky when she stood out so much? The answer lay with what her teal colored eyes were staring at. The cash register. How many dollars and coins would she find inside? Surely not a spectacular amount, but enough to buy herself a somewhat decent meal in town. With enough "persuasion" and expert timing, she might have been able to find where any extra cash might have been hidden and escape with more than she'd initially intended before the police arrived at the crime scene. Going above and beyond her expectations would come with extra rewards at the end of the road, as well, would it not? Of course, it seemed a little unlikely to get away with more than thirty dollars. Ilixie didn't particularly mind these easy missions. They were just that - easy. Maybe she'd never imagined herself with ninja reflexes like she'd gained when put under training with Team Imum, but they certainly made robberies much more simple. So, yes, she enjoyed demanding that people hand her all the money they had on them, even though she hadn't the foggiest of what it had to do with crushing the human race in Lyeant and beyond. Well, whatever the reason, she'd just have to play along if she wanted a certain... someone to leave her alone. "This will be as easy as pie," the grunt muttered under her breath with the tiniest of smirks. She didn't always enjoy the things they had her do with the criminal organization known as Team Imum, but she'd never truly hated things like the little robberies like these. Actually, she'd been taking a bit of a liking to them, though she hated to admit to such things. You're not a criminal, she had to remind herself, losing her focus for just to smalled bit of time. You're just working for some people who are... Remembering that, no matter how much she liked or disliked it, she had a job at hand, the long-haired female regained her focus and ran through the plan once more. It was late at night, so the store clerk was the only person present in the store - well, other than her, of course - which was a very important factor. If she could jump down behind him without a sound, hit his head into the desk, and successfully knock him out cold, she'd be able to steal all of the money on hand before the cops were called to stop her. Tarka was waiting out front to attack anyone and everyone who dare try and sneak into the store while she was doing her job. Of course, this was a lot for her to do and one mess up... Well, let's just say it could lead to unpleasent things. Tugging on her teal colored tie - yesh, she needed more color in her waredrobe and the dark pink on her pony-tail holders most certainly did not count - she realized just how nervous about this she truly was. Of course, she got very nervous easily and occurances like these weren't all that uncommon. Just breath, Ilixie, she reminded herself, taking a deep breath in and another out. You'll do just fine. Not more than five seconds later, she'd jumped from her mystery hiding place and landed neatly on her black boots. The taller human whipped around, surprised, only to have a gloved hand shove into his face and shove him into the hard surface behind him - hard. With a thud, he fell to the floor in a senseless heap. "Just as planned," the teen hissed, hoping the attack had not caused enough noise to draw any pedestrian's attentions. If anyone did see, they must have turned their head, as not a soul entered the store. "Jackpot..." No more than fifteen minutes afterward, the female escaped without anyone's notice, pockets filled with new found money. "Tarka, come!" the trainer demanded in a hushed voice, words stern and commanding. This caused the dog-like creature to leap to his paws and pursue his master, both slipping through town like a thief in the night. Well... almost, rather. They weren't out of there just yet, though the city limits were just in sight. Pausing and standing in the dim moonlight, the young adult turned to her partner and patted his head. "Another success! Think of what master will say! Lorelei, too! Maybe I'll get bumped up to an elite one of these days..." This was, of course, highly unlikely. One was promoted only after displaying their skills in missions such as assassinations. Robbing multiple Poke' Marts wasn't going to impress the leader, though it might have pleased her master. In response to her excitement, the Pokemon grunted. "Come on, Tarka - we should be happy." The girl's enthusiasm was rare and, when it was present, it didn't last long. In only a few moments, she'd be back to being incredibly nervous about one thing or another or - worse - Sayryn would decide to take control. "Another job well - oof!" Her words were, quite rudely cut off as she bumped into something large and heavy. Focused more on talking to a person who'd never be able to answer instead of where she was placing her feet, she must have bumped into something or other. "What on Earth was sitting in the middle of -" Teal colored eyes looking up to see what she'd run into, she saw that it was not an object placed in the center of the road, but, rather, a human being. "What were you doing just standing there, idiot!" she hissed, switching gears from being happy to raging. "I could have gotten hurt, you know!" |
