"Memories mend me" 'N one's seen my share.' "Things I can't repair" I'll break it to you.
He had to admit, Demon's lake was pretty intimidating. The sun was already setting, and he was lucky that the night was clear. He could already see the moon rising into the sky; a full moon by the looks of it. An Ambipom followed closely behind the raven-haired boy, one hand gripping the boy's shirt and his eyes a little wide in fear. Gold looked determinedly towards the dark lake waters, and was surprised that everything was so... quiet. From the stories he had heard about this place, he had thought that he would have been attacked by wild Pokemon as soon as he set foot into the place. Especially the fact that it was a full moon. Wasn't the full moon supposed to attract bad things? A small chuckle escaped his lips as he smirked. The Pokemon next to him looked up curiously, his eyes confused. Gold looked down at his friend. "Don't worry buddy, I'm sure nothing bad'll happen!" He told Aitaro, and the Pokemon seemed to relax a little bit. The boy surveyed the landscape, his golden eyes a little wary. Where were all the Pokemon? He had come here to try and catch a new Pokemon; a teammate and possibly a friend for Aitaro. But how the heck was he was supposed to catch Pokemon when they didn't even show up? Gold turned back to Aitaro and put one hand on his hip. "Now listen up! I've got a plan to catch a new Pokemon to join us on our journey and stuff. But the question is, will you help me?" The boy asked the Pokemon with a smirk, already knowing the answer. Aitaro put one hand to his forehead in a sort of a solute to his master, letting out a determined cry as a smirk also crossed his face. "Ambi, ambi! (You can count on me!)" The monkey Pokemon said, and Gold gave his friend a thumbs-up. "Awesome! Then let's get this show on the road!" He said, and stood patiently in the quiet moonlight, his eyes narrowed and a smirk on his face. Aitaro got into a battle-ready stance, his face already determined. They were prepared for anything that jumped out at them.

(Target in sight. Coming range. Approximantely one-hundred sixty heartbeats until target is neutralized.)
The full moon was always a sign of bad news. Or, at least, in all of those horror films that the humans enjoyed watching at hours like these. Strange creatures chose these times to come out and attack the normal population in these forms of fiction, terrorizing the unexpecting. In addition to that, this particular name had it's own rumors of terrible beasts that lurked about at night or climbed out of the water to attack innocents. It was a terrifying place indeed - filled with dread and a looming sense of something almost... evil.
Well, at least, that's what people said.
One particular Mightyena did not believe in such nonsense. Believe it or not, this particular creature was quite devoted to things like science - or, at least, the wolf pack's equivalent of such things. Everything could be explained - if it couldn't be, it simply... didn't exist. The Pokemon who lived there were frightening, yes, but not evil. And all of those strange occurances that happened there... They were simply tricks of the eye and mind, surely. So, the full moon did not signal any lake monster from coming up covered in seaweed or something, scaring the pants off of visitors. Not like many people came to visit, anyway.
At that particular moment, the wolf's eyes were trained on one particular figure not far away from where she moved ever so slowly. They were out of place for one sole reason - humans didn't come here often. One person imagines something up, tells it to everyone, and suddenly the people stop coming due to silly rumors. The peace was nice, but there was no reason for humans to stray away... unless the local Pokemon gave them one. And that was exaclty what she intended to do. Scare away the trespasser, she told herself. That boy and his stupid monkey looked weak, anyway.
(Five heartbeats remaining,) she muttered to herself. At this point in time, she was right behind him, reading to pounce and tear out a few chunks of flesh in the process. (Four.) The soft grass beneath her feet made little to no sound as she stepped on it. (Three.) Her newest opponent would be easy to defeat. (Two.) Maybe, to keep away any future invaders, she'd do more than just rile these two fools up. She'd never put any trainer into what human's called a hospital, but there was always a first for everything. ... (One!)
With a battle cry, the female leapt off her hind paws and threw herself into the air. Claws outstretched, she reached for - no, not the Pokemon - but the trainer himself. Oh, this was going to be an experiance she would not soon forget. (Let the target be neutralized!)
NOTES;; You know what I just realized? Starter Pokemon here at From Sweet Beginnings start at level ten unless you are a gym leader or Team Imum Elite, Executive, or it's leader. ... Gold's gonna get creamed. XD I could make an exception because I was being stupid and should have warned you sooner... or we can make things interesting. You said that this thread is open, therefor another character can pop in as well, right? Well, if I can pass this thread off to another mod - or keep modding it myself at the same time, that works, to - I can come in with another character and together they can destroy this over-leveled Mightyena. What do ya' say~? ^^
WILD MIGHTYENA APPEAREDTYPE;; ABILITY;; quick feet. LEVEL;; thirty-two. HIT POINTS;; 160/160. MOVE SET;; assurance, swagger, roar, odor sleuth, bite, and sand-attack. BATTLE SUMMARY;; Wild MIGHTYENA appeared. Wild MIGHTYENA used BITE.
