Look at the pretty table He hadn't come far to get to this place, and was pleased to see it hadn't changed that much. This was a common training spot of his, and he came here frequently to train his team, knowing that it was his duty to keep his pokemon strong, so that he would prove a worthy challenge for trainers eligible to participate in the pokemon league. Some people said the place was inhabited by creatures a little more than demons themselves, but dark pokemon were his allies. He appreciated the crafty dark pokemon for their cleverness, and crafty nature. At his side stood a tall Mightyena, known to his trainer as Guraena, given his Japanese name, out of respect for his species's origins. "We have to get stronger, in order to retain our place as Gym Leader. And maybe, one day, we might become powerful enough to challenge the Elite Four, and then, the Champion." Shin'ichi proclaimed in his princely tone. A faint breeze drifted over the lake and ruffled his cape. Guraena remained silent, allowing his trainer to do the talking.

Anyone who dare enter Demon's Lake should have understood that it is a dangerous area filled with loads of tough pokemon. Houndoom was one of the few leaders of it's species, which protected themselves with aligning with any other species in Demon's Lake. Their independence was something that this Houndoom was proud to be a part of. Houndoom noticed a Mightyena with a human, had one of the locals sided with the humans. Quickly Houndoom erased those thoughts from his mind the best he could, only his species mattered to him and as long as they were safe he was happy. Not only was he a proud leader of the Houndoom species, but he is also a Father to two young Houndour's. They meant more to him then anything in the world, every bit of his love was for them. Keeping his family safe was his top priority, certainly after his home had been raided a few weeks ago by some thieves who had stolen some of the young Houndour's away from their homes. Luckily for Houndoom his children hadn't been kidnapped, but he was still peeved off that the humans had done such a thing. Seeing a Mightyena and a trainer side by side made Houndoom despise both of their species. They might even be more thieves to the area. Houndoom knew what he had to do as he stepped out of the dark shadows and stood about ten meters from the pairing of Mightyena and human, safe distance in case the human tried and sly tactics to capture him. Houndoom glared angrily at Mightyena as he snarled before he raised his head to the sky and howled like a wolf would to on a full moon. Although it was still daylight, very little sun made it through the trees high above. This certainly was an area for the darkest and most vicious pokemon to roam. Look at the pretty table He knew that Demon's Lake was famous for its abundance of tough pokemon, and that was exactly the reason why he came. He was even thinking that today he might catch a few more dark pokemon if he were to happen upon one. The pokemon here were fierce, and well worthy of a bit of respect if he knew them. At his side, Guraena stiffened the hackles along his neck and spine. So Guraena had noticed it first, with his fine sense of smell, the presence of a Houndoom; a dark type, as well as a fire type. Soon enough, the dog with a demon's tail, the mascot of Demon's lake, made his appearance, standing about ten meters from Shin'ichi and his Mightyena, a cautious distance, yet still close enough to mean business. Guraena bared his fangs fearlessly at the Houndoom when it howled. Shin'ichi knew as well as Guraena that the Howl meant that they needed to finish this battle as soon as possible before it started, for a Houndoom's howl was actually the rallying of its pack members, and more angry pokemon were sure to be expected by a trainer well experienced with pokemon. "So you finally show yourself, Houndoom, fearless leader of the Houndour. If it is a battle you seek, it is a battle I shall not keep you from! I know that your Howl means that your friends are on their way to your aid, however, they will not reach you in time before Guraena defeats you!" Although he was a cool type more than a cheerful kind of guy, he wasn't a silent type either. Raising his hand elegantly, and gesturing it out towards the Houndoom so that his cape fluttered majestically, he called out to his pokemon. Swagger, Guraena."Guraena's toothy growl shifted to a toothy smirk, and he didn't charge right away. Instead, he began to prance about, showing off his graceful movements with well toned muscles, and holding his head and tail high, a very arrogant gesture in the language of the canine.
