THE APPEARANCE

SHORT APPEARANCE;; Odette is a petite young plum-head with amber eyes and a slight Southren accent to her...slight.

Odette isn’t exactly what you’d call beautiful, but she’s got some qualities that would qualify her as pretty, at the most. Odette doesn’t pride herself in looks, but she more or less loves to design anything that has to do with fashion. She likes experimenting with new looks and tries her best to at least try and stay fashionable, but not the standard of everybody else, she keeps it to her very own standards.

She has a fair shade of light brown in terms of eye-color (Which at least seems okay, matching her slightly tanned skin), but she finds this rather mundane, since she sees many people with the same exact eye color all the time. She sometimes wishes she had a color that was more fun, like blue or hazel, even. Though, her strange purple hair color keeps her as entertained as she can be, and she normally ties it up in a ponytail. The tie is made up of a normal elastic tie, and one feather from a shiny Swellow’s down, shed by her mother’s Pokemon. She has a necklace made in the same fashion, both of which she made herself.

Her outfit is completely designed to match as far as coordinating color and style. She wears a teal colored over-dress with ruffled, separated sleeves, and she places a gray skirt laced with white under the dress so it isn’t too short. To keep the colors consistent, she wears silver gauntlets on her arms. She wears long brown boots, which happen to be as comfortable as any other shoes she might have tried to wear in the past. Around her ponytail, she manages a small headdress of clamshells, which she secures over the band on her feather tie. She has a scar on her right shoulder, an old wound she received from her mother’s Swellow that never faded.

PERSONALITY;;

Odette is the kind of person would want to meet in a dark alley. As weird as that analogy sounds, it basically means that Odette is the one that you want to go to when you need help. She tries her best to help when she can, and feels bad when she can’t, but if she can in some way assist you she will. Odette is a patient girl, so even if your problem just needs to be talked out, she’s normally there to listen.

Odette is very outgoing, so she doesn’t have a problem with talking to anyone. She’s never been one to shy away from conversation, and she’s actually a fine conversationalist. She tends to find things to talk about, even when the situation seems a slight bit awkward , and this bides very well as far as her people skills. She tends to make friends easily, though she does have trouble with those cynical, mysterious types, for one reason alone.

Though she is for the most part patient, after a while of talking to someone and barley even getting their name, she grows quite frustrated. Normally, these fights that she has, happen with people with the personalities above, more so if they are a close friend of hers, because the fact that they’ve gotten along far enough to be friends, yet she still can’t get anything out of them seriously annoys her.

Another bad side to Odette, she’s stubborn. She does whatever she can to do what she feels is correct, and it’s hard to stop her when she’s like this, because she will ignore what you say, even if she is the one with the wrong idea. Though this may be beneficial as far as she sees it, it can be quite the burden on everyone else around her. She is also known to try to seem cheerful, even in a bad situation, and it takes someone who knows her well to see through a betraying smile.

DISLIKES;;her father's constant pestering about her mother, people who don't seem to realize that they can get annoying quickly, stupid people in general, stubborn people, pocky (she doesn't get the point of it) having to stay inside all the time.

GOALS;; To learn as many recipies for both people and pokemon as she can, invent a new health drink for breeders to use with their pokemon, discover more about Pokemon eggs.

THE HISTORY

HISTORY;;

Odette was born to her parents Anna and Yarran Mileson, when her mother was eighteen. The both of them married right out of living with their parents because of their child, but they didn’t seem to mind too much. In fact, both of her parents were glad when she was born. Her mother named her Odette, after her great-grandmother. Naturally, she also became a certain someone’s favorite grandchild. Her great-grandma doted on her often, but her mother gave her enough discipline so she didn’t turn out to be a spoiled brat.

Odette’s upbringing was very simple, and though her parents fought often about their money situation, Odette continued to be as cheerful as she possibly could. She’s put on a smile, one that makes people think she’s okay, even if she felt like she was about to break down on the inside, and in later years, she found herself doing this very often. Finally, after nearly three years of constant fighting, her parents divorced. Though Odette had a very complicated time with this at first, she tried her best to support her mother through her depression, and together, the two overcame it.

When she was eleven, Odette was playing with her mother’s Swellow Tylnn, when the bird accidently managed a deep gash in the girl’s shoulder. Her mother treated it, but it remained a scar on her shoulder for what would be the rest of her life, though Odette had always found it kind of cool. She still saw her father regularly, and he questioned her about the scar, but she assured him that her mother had not been mistreating her, like he had figured when he first saw the injury. He let it go, but he asked her to be careful.

It was a few years later, after she graduated from the local Pokemon trainer’s school that she decided to begin her own journey. She faltered a couple of times, debating whether she wanted to leave her mother alone or not, and one day, she decided to ask her mother how she would feel if she were to leave home. Her mother, to her surprise, was happy that Odette had decided to make the choice she did, because she said that she wanted her only daughter to be happy, and that if traveling made her happy, she wouldn’t mind as long as Odette made sure to check in.

Mahi sat upon her shoulder, hanging off it like a small rag-doll. They hadn’t gotten too far away from the Village at all, and in fact, they weren’t even near the heart of the forest. In truth, it had been very hard for Odette to have taken her first step out of the village, she couldn’t imagine what it would be like once she had actually left the forest. There was no way she was lost, because her father had taught her the ins and outs of the village quite a while before now. Odette looked down at the floor. Yes, the place she had known since she was a kid.

“Hey, I guess we should really get going, huh Mahi?” She questioned the young fire fox on her shoulder. Mahi lifted her ears and tilted her head slightly, her ear flicking gently. Then , she nodded, speaking though she knew Odette wouldn’t understand her.

<Don’t you worry about it Odette, I’m sure we’ll have lots of fun out there.> Her tone was enough to lift a huge amount of weight from Odette’s shoulders. The woman reached around and scratched Mahi behind one of her ears. Mahi gave a happy yip and Odette finally began on her way again, her hands in the pockets of her dress.

“Well, we aren’t close to the exit yet you know.” Odette reminded Mahi as they continued through the undergrowth of the forest. The lushness of the area surrounding them had always calmed her, but right now she was quite anxious. She had gotten Mahi from someone in the village, and she didn’t think she was going to be out so soon. She was also sure she had to be wary, because well, you never knew what was out in a forest, she had to wonder exactly what it was that was waiting for her beyond it as well.
