The Rules
Follow or Risk Being Banned
Follow or Risk Being Banned
In Character1;; A simple rule to follow. You can not, by any means, control another person's character. They are theirs to role play, not yours, and therefore should be written as such. If you are worried that you might have broken this rule, leave an out of character note at the bottom and we, the staff, will decide whether it's okay or not.
2;; Like above, this is a somewhat easy rule to follow. You may not make your Pokemon invincible, no matter what the circumstances. Every Pokemon gets hurt, no matter how large and powerful they are. Your Pokemon may dodge blows, but please keep the dodging to a minimum. Your Pokemon will get hit, more often then not, throughout the course of a battle, fight, or training, no matter how skilled your Pokemon are. A 3:1 ratio would be good to use, if you unsure. For every attack you dodge, take three hits.
3;; This is a third person role play site, which means that all posts that are in character must be written as such. Sometimes, you might make a typo and make it seem like a word is in present tense, but, unless your little 'typos' go on consistently throughout the post, you won't be in trouble.
4;; Make sure that, unless you are closing a thread, you are writing your character in a way that another person can reply to. If your characters are constantly running off or walking away in the middle of the thread, it's not very fun. Unless the other role player agrees or there are more people in the thread, you may not have your character do anything of the sort.
5;; The word count here is at least one hundred words. You can go as far as you want over that, but you are not allowed to go under. This is a semi-literate role play, therefor anything under such a small minimal is not accepted.
6;; Try to spell as best as you can in all of your posts. You don't have to be perfect, but the spell check is there to help you. Typos can lead to confusion, and confusion can lead to mistakes. You don't have to be perfect with your spelling and grammar and it's okay to skip over the spell check button, but if your spelling and such is way out there, make your best attempt and run it through a spelling checker every once in a while.
Out of Character1;; Respect others. This means everyone - the staff, your fellow members, even guests. If someone is saying hurtful things to you, ignore them. Saying hurtful things back will only get you in trouble as well. You don't have to be the friendliest person in the world - just don't be the meanest.
2;; Keep your fighting to a minimum. I know sometimes others can irritate you a bit, but don't go picking fights left and right. Be kind to others and they'll be kind to you. And if you must fight with someone else, keep it outside the site. We don't want the chat box being flooded with hurtful comments or the out of character boards and private messages.
3;; If you will be leaving, please leave a notice on the leaving board. I can understand if it's something that comes up on a short notice, but if it's something that will keep you from role playing that you know in advance, you must let us know. You might be thought to be inactive, other wise, and risk getting your account deleted.
4;; You do not have to log in daily, but I suggest you log in at least once a week to catch up on any updates. If you have not logged in in a month or two without posting in the leaving board, the staff will decide whether to consider you inactive, which will result in the deletion of your account, or another punishment that you will receive when you return. After 3 months of inactivity, there will be no question about deleting your account.
5;; There will be no in character posts in the out of character boards unless it is for a thread in the games section. Other then that, keep everything out of character - that's why it's called what it is.
Characters1;; When creating a character, you must follow the rules no matter what. If not, your character will not be accepted and moved to the rejected board until the problems have been fixed and your application follows the rules.
2;; Mary Sues and Gary Stus are not tolerated. Every person in real life has their strengths and weaknesses. Why shouldn't your characters be the same? When making your character, think about if their personality would be that of a person in real life. If your not sure if your character is a mary sue or not, look up a test and see if they are. If they are, then try to edit them and make them more realistic.Part 1: apple
3;; Only role play one character per post. You cannot role play more then one character in a thread unless one character leaves and another shows up. It gets really confusing when there is more then one person in one post, so please refrain from doing so.
4;; You are limited to five characters on your account. If you want to make more then five, you are required to buy an extra character slot in the site's store. In addition, you are only allowed one gijinka (half human, half Pokemon) per account. Any more must be bought in the store and will count as a new character slot. But, even with purchasing that item, you are allowed a maximum of three.
5;; You are allowed to create Pokemon here, as well. Just keep in mind that, in order to create a legendary or have one of your trainers obtain one without capturing it, you must buy an item from the store.
6;; Your starter Pokemon may be a stage one or stage two Pokemon. No legendaries or third stage. They must also start at level ten. No exceptions.
7;; Gym leaders start with three or four Pokemon instead of one. Look at the average wild Pokemon levels in the routes around your city to get ideas for what level they should be. Make sure it is reasonable as well.
Graphics1;; You may have a signature, and avatar, and any headers and footers you want, but you must make sure that none of them stretch the page. Avatars must be 100X100 or 100X200 pixels with signatures being no more then 575 pixels in length. Headers and footer for posts must not stretch the page as well. If you are using any photos or pictures in your avatar, signature, and/or header and footer, make sure to credit them on your picture.
2;; If you would like to open a graphics shop, you must first PM an admin and get their permission.
3;; If your graphics in an app or post stretch the page, you will be notified and it will be removed. If you must have them, please resize them to fit the page.
General
1;;For every post you post, you'll receive 10 dollars of virtual money that you can use on the site to buy various things from the site's store.[/blockquote]
2;; Each member is able to make one gijinka. However, an extra gijinka slot will be offered at the store. Keep in mind that this is simply to keep the number of gijinkas running around to a minimum, since they are very rare. Also, you must first have a normal character before creating a gijinka.
3;; Your member group is decided the moment your first character is accepted. Your member group starts out as the rank of your first character, but once you have gone on and made more characters, it can change. Your member group is the rank of your highest ranked character. If all of your characters are equal in rank, it shall remain as the rank of your first character.
4;; Have fun! That's the whole point of the site!
