Dove stepped away from the camp fire that burned brightly in the dark that surrounded her and her Zorua's. They where going hunting for night time pokemon. What pokemon you find in the area always depends on the time of day. When some pokemon are asleep others awaken and come out to play. "Ok you guys ready," she whispered softly. Both Ivory and Thorn nodded than jumped onto her shoulders and transformed into caterpies at the same time and hid in her hair to make it look like the girl was alone to any pokemon that saw her.
Leaving her camp but the fire glowing so she could easily find her way back she headed into the tall grass toward a strand of trees. She wasn't quiet she made sure to make lots of noise hoping to attract pokemon to her.

(Food... Need... food...)
Pale light flickered to and fro like the flame atop the wax of a candle, touching the ground with it's faint glow and painting a picture on it's canvas that took shape as the world below. The shadows it cast were also like that out of a painting, the only difference being the fact that they sprung to life with every rustle of the leaves above them, sturred by a light, late-night breeze. The moon was an eerie source of light, but, the fact that it was a source of light at all was enough for the creatures who dwelled in the area known simply as Route One.
One certain Sentret was no exception to this rule.
Racing across grass, road, and dirt in the pursuit of a decent meal, the female had been searching all day and night and was thankful that there was at least something to illuminate her path. Perhaps it wasn't the best source of light, especially for something so crutial as looking for a food source, but at least the furry creature could see where she was placing her paws. A small growl resounded throughout the forest and she clutched her stomach in embarassment, startled by the sound of her own tummy growling.
(You'd think that the other Pokemon would at least leave a handful of berries or something for me, but no. Those pigs force me to goo looking in the dead of night for a meal. I haven't eaten in two days, for Golduck's sake!) As exaggerated as the statement may have sounded, it was, honestly, the truth. Unable to eat or search for a meal the previous night, the brown Pocket Monster had made it very clear that, on that particular night, she would not meet the same fate. (Just a berry or two, big enough to fill me up until I can find more to eat would be -)
Suddenly, the Sentret cut off and, lifting her nose to the air, managed to catch the scent of... food. No, not just the ordinary berry or nut - usual meals for a Pokemon of her species - but real food. The sort of meal you would find a human eating. However, the smell was faint and seemed to be somewhat stale. Perhaps there was no real food at all...? (Curses! And when I thought I'd finally have something to put in my mouth, eat, and swallow...) However, she was curious as to what was emitting this particular stench and, with the speed that Sentret were known for, she scurried towards where she believe the scent of an old meal was coming from.
Oh.
Well, that wasn't quite what she was hoping for.
After all, she couldn't eat a human.
The brown animal cringed at the sight of the dark-haired figure. If she recalled, any time a human and Pokemon encountered one another, the Pokemon was bound to be left for dead or captured in the confines of a Poke' Ball. (Oh, goodness...)

Dove heard the rustling of leaves from the wind. But she also heard small footsteps running in the distance. She wondered what pokemon it was. She was surprised to hear the footsteps grow closer. When it came into her site her eyes widened as a sentret ran right in her sight. The poor thing was thin and looked hungry. Well the sooner she caught it the sooner she could feed it. Reaching up and under her hand she reached for Ivory and Thorn. They crawled onto her hand. "Ok guys this little one here looks pretty hungry so let's make it quick so we can feed her or him." She threw the caterpies and they both changed back to their true forms. "Ok Ivory use Furry Swipes. Thorn use Scratch."

This was a bad day indeed for the poor female Sentret.
Lost and alone without food or drink for two days was already enough to worry about on it's own. It wasn't as though she had a large meal handed to her every day on a silver platter like some of these humans did. What made them so special that they had everything handed to them at a flick of their wrists? She doubted that any of them went a night without a full belly. Pokemon had the superior survival skills - the humans were inferior, in that sense - so why didn't they recieve the same benefits?
Perhaps it was simply because they had the superior survival skills. Because they, unlike the dominant race, could actually survive without those blessings. However, that did not mean that the duel-colored Pocket Monster had to accept that happily. But her worries were only beginning and her night was only going to get so much worse. Because that dark-haired woman whom she had stumbled upon had Pokemon with her, which meant the fight was just about to begin.
(Please, I'm not here for a fight!) the Sentreat pleaded, flinching when the two seemingly harmless Caterpie transformed into two ferocious looking Zorua. Who in their right mind needed two Zorua anyway? Was that a bitt silly? Well, the idea of capturing Pokemon in general seemed silly to the Pokemon, so this wasn't exactly a huge shock. (I'm just here to find a meal, is all. You can understand that, right?) Obviously not. The two ganged up on the poor creature - the female landing an attack with fury swipes, attacking her four times and the male attacking with a scratch. And it was over. Just like that. Two level ten Pokemon up against a a level six Sentret? The poor female didn't stand a chance.
(To... soon...) the normal-type murmered with the last of her strength, collapsing to the ground with a thud and noting how cold it was at night before a tidal wave of nothing but darkness washed over her mind. Whether she would awake in the confines of a Poke' Ball or live to see another day of freedom, it was all up to the dark-haired female. (All I wanted... Was a meal...)

Dove flinched feeling bad for the poor pokemon. but her life was about to get better. Once Ivory and Thorn finished attacking she grabbed one of her empty poke'balls and threw it at the little sentret. She really did feel bad for the little pokemon. But at least now with her she would never go hungry again.
Thorn arched his eye at the pokemon. The thing fainted after it's attack. "Talk about week. Are you sure you want to cat it Dove? Surely there are stronger sentret around here."
Ivory sniffed the creature before Dove threw the poke'ball and backed up. "She's week that's all . There is no smell of food on her I imagine it's been at least two days before the little thing ate anything. As soon as it's caught, healed and fed it will be back to full strength you'll see."

Two attacks was all it took to fell the hungry creature. On normal occations, she would not have been so easily defeated by the likes two mesely attacks. Perhaps the trainer would think her weak and leave her be? Yes, that would be nice. She was so used to living on her own and not relying on anyone or anything that the life of a trainer's Pokemon just didn't seem to match her. However, any hopes that she might have had were ruined when the Poke' Ball was thrown at her.
She had fainted! How was she supposed to escape?
Sure enough, the Poke' Ball sook once. Twice. And a third time. Then... click!. The capture was completed.
WILD SENTRET APPEAREDTYPE;; ABILITY;; keen eye. LEVEL;; six. HIT POINTS;; 0/30 MOVE SET;; scratch, foresight, defense curl, quick attack. BATTLE SUMMARY;; WILD SENTRET was CAUGHT.

Dove looked at Thorn and sighed, "Thorn the week become strong with a little training. Now lets head back to camp so we can heal our little sentret and get her something to eat." Bending down she picked up the pokeball and clicked it her her belt than headed back tot he camp fire. They hadn't gone far and she could still see the glow in the distance. Thorn and Ivory turned into Butterfree's and flew onto her shoulder.
Once they reached camp they changed back and curled up inside the tent and yawned. Dove looked at them and laughed. "Surely that little battle didn't tire you out." As Dove reached into her bag she grabbed a potion. She than went about cooking so the little pokemon had something to eat. Once the food was done she set it in a bowl to cool than grabbed the poke'ball. She called the pokemon out.
Sentret blinked her eyes open scared. She didn't know where she was. It took her a few minutes to see her surroundings. When she saw the food she cried out and ran to it and grabbed a piece and stuffed it in her mouth.
While the Sentret ate she sprayed potion on her new pokemon's wounds. "Welcome to the team Star."
