Love the picture <3333 The two new companions were walking casually down that long, winding road known as Route 3. The land was barren, thus a gusty wind blew in their faces, but the wind had been blowing for so long that the earth had no more dust to give, so it wasn't like a sandstorm at least. The humanoid of the two, a gijinka with a black tail flowing behind him and two gray ears was talking to his pokemon, a young squirtle, wearing a ninja headband. Hataro stopped abruptly, the young squirtle behind him nearly running into his leg. "Alright Kai, it's time to train! Now that you're with me, you're going to have to do your part. Although it's easier for me to just fight all the battles, you want to get stronger too, don't you?" At this, Kai nodded his head eagerly. "Squirtle Squirtle!(Of course! I'll do anything to become strong like you!)" The naiive little pokemon had a rather unusual relationship with his trainer. From the first day they met at Imum headquarters, the young Team Imum pokemon had admired the Mightyena Gijinka executive, and had followed him around since the very beginning. Hataro, at first, coldly ignored the turtle pokemon, but once Kai put on a ninja headband, he was amused, and decided to let the Squirtle become his partner, deciding then that he would train Kai, and see how strong Kai could get. For now, he liked Kai's determination. Hataro smiled. "Good. Then first, I'll have you use Water Gun! We're going to train your stamina! We're out here in this desert-ish place, but even so, you should be able to create enough water to knock out any rock pokemon in one hit!" At this, Kai jumped happily. "Squirt Squirtle!(Right away, Sensei!)" He cried, before taking a deep breath, then spewing a stream of water. "More force! It needs more power!" Hataro coached. Kai pushed himself further, willing to push himself to the edge of his body's limits for Hataro. The stream of water shot out further, spraying a hundred feet in front of him and soaking the ground. "Good! Keep it up!" Hataro praised the little turtle.

Pathetic, was what it was. The whole idea of Pokemon being ruled by humans... With all of the great properties, powers, and abilities that Pokemon possessed in comparison to the bland and boring nature of the dominant race, it should have very well have been the other way around. However, Pokemon belonging to trainers would go to the end of the Pokemon World and back for their trainers, acting like slaves. And for what? Nothing! They were forced to battle it out for their humans without question and they didn't get any of the prize money, much less a decent meal afterward. The idea of eating flavored food pellets every meal disgusted the purple creature in all honesty.
(Stupid humans, ordering us around like they own the place,) a lone Gligar mused, drifted through the air like a kite in the wind. He was obviously displeased - anyone would be able to see that. (It's called the Pokemon World for a reason, and not just because it sounds better than Trainer World...) Odd as it may have sounded, many Pokemon also felt so strongly about the idea of being captured in Poke' Balls and being forced into a new form of slavery. As much as they wanted to speak out about the horrors of such things, many were to afraid to actually stand up against the trainer's and their partners.
But this particular one wasn't.
Up ahead, a dark brown-haired man - or was it black? In the harsh desert lighting, it was to hard for him to tell - walked down the desert path, a Squirtle just behind him. With a... ninja headband on it's head. Oh, the many horrors trainers put their Pokemon through for amusement. Suddenly, a burst of water sprayed in the Gligar's direction, almost hitting him dead on had he not put his reflexes to work and dodged. The poor thing, having to use such force in the form of a water gun just to please it's trainer! (Don't worry, little Squirtle,) the duel-type growled to himself, flying closer to the odd duo, (I'll save you from this monster...)

Love the picture <3333 Kai's eyes shone happily when Hataro praised him, and he sprayed even harder. He would do anything that Hataro told him to, and he would follow Hataro to the ends of the earth. He wanted to be like Hataro, brave, and strong... But when he upped the power of his Water Gun, he noticed something flying to get out of the way of the water. A wild pokemon! Pausing the stream of water, he pointed at the Gligar. "Squirtle!(It's a wild pokemon! Can I battle it?" Hataro saw the Gligar too, and smiled. " What perfect timing! Why don't we put your training to the test, shall we, Kai?" "Squirtle!(Yay! I'll make you proud, sensei!)" Kai shouted happily as he took up a defensive stance, a warrior-like pose that Hataro himself had taught Kai for keeping his balance and staying on guard. Hataro had even taught the squirtle many of his own natural techniques for fighting that he had learned during his life. "Right, now, start it off with Water Gun! Just like you were doing it before!" Hataro instructed first. "Squirt!(Right away, sensei!)" Kai replied, then the stream of jetting water spewed from his mouth again, this time aimed at the Gligar.

The light in the Squirtle's eyes, the glimmer of utmost joy, only agrivated the wild Gligar more. Not that the fact that the stream of water flowing from it's mouth only increased in force. What had this human done to his poor, poor Pokemon? Brain washed him, for pity's sake? The duel-colored ground-type had never witnesses a Pokemon so devoted to it's trainer before in it's life. Of course, he had not seen many Pokemon that belonged to a trainer at all, but that was beside the point. Surely, there must have been something done to the water-type to make it act as such. Bribery? Intimidation? That brain washing prospect returned to the Gligar's mind. When the jet of water was stopped and a tiny hand was pointed in his direction, a smile tugged on the wild creature's lips...
... Only to fade at the sound of the smaller Pocket Monster's words.
(It's a wild Pokemon!) the Squirtle cried, enthusiasm bubbling in his words. (Can I battle it?) What? No, wait! They weren't supposed to battle each other! The wild Pokemon was to battle the human, winning the turtle-like figure's freedom back! A smile lit the pale-eyed human's face and he replied, "What perfect timing! Why don't we put your training to the test, shall we, Kai?" Kai? Kai? What kind of name was Kai? It was a Squirtle and should be named as such. Well, at least it wasn't Mittens, Fluffy, Buttons, or anything of the like, the Gligar supposed... (Yay! I'll make you proud, sensei!) Sensei? And that warrior's stance - those were for humans, not Pokemon! He was beside himself in irritation at how this dark-haired man was treating his "partner"
(You sicken me,) he spat bitterly, despite the fact that the tallest of the three would never be able to understand him... would he? A battle seemed inavoidable when said man ordered a Water Gun attack. All faith in humanity seemed to be drained from the flying-type's mind when the Pokemon oblidged, firing another jet of water from it's mouth only, this time, aimed for him. The Gligar let out a shriek of pain as the attack made contact. Gligar were ground types, meaning that they had a disadvantage against water-type attacks. However, the furious creature managed to hang on... barely. With more conviction than ever, he swore he would defeat the Squirtle and set it free once and for all. (This is going to hurt me,) he spat, shooting a Poison Sting at his opponent, (more than it's going to hurt you.)

Love the picture <3333 By now, Hataro had begun to pick up on some of what the Gligar was saying. "What's wrong, Gligar?" He called out to the scorpion pokemon. "Can't believe that me and my partner Kai are going to win, huh? Well well! Don't worry, I'll take good care of you after I capture you!" He had decided by then that he wanted to capture this intriguing pokemon. It would be a great training opportunity for Kai, to have another member on the team, and Hataro was beginning to enjoy training and raising pokemon. It was an intriguing challenge, to become a trainer, and raise pokemon to become stronger. Kai had shown him that it wasn't just about his own power. He could share his power, and begin raising disciples, and training stronger warriors of Team Imum. It only took a guy of his power to be able to train more pokemon to have power like his. Kai jumped in joy when his attack hit. "I did it, Sensei! I really did it!" He cried joyfully. But then he heard the Gligar speak again. "What do you mean by that?" He asked, but the only reply came in the form of tiny poison tipped needles! Before he could think of dodging, the sharp needles struck, but bounced off his protective shell, and leaving a scratch. It was a poisonous attack, but luckily, the poison wasn't able to spread from the scratch in his shell. After wincing more in surprise than pain, and realizing that the attack wasn't much to worry about after all, Kai smiled a little. "A weak attack like that won't finish me!" He shouted happily to the Gligar. "Haha! It will take a lot more power than that to even touch Kai!" Hataro agreed. "Nice Water Gun, Kai! That was perfect! Now let's finish this with some Bubbles!" Hataro commanded next. Kai nodded, then turning back to the Gligar, released a spray of bubbles at the Gligar.

Ah, the stupidity of the human nature. What goes on through their minds, the Gligar couldn't help but wonder, trying to ponder what fantasies created themselves in the depths of a pale skinned race's minds. Obviously it was not as profound as the thoughts that raced through his own. When the dark-haired man spoke, he resisted the urg to slap a purple claw up to his forhead in a "seriously?" sort of action. This was the prime example of the human race's stupidity. "What's wrong, Gligar?" he called to him, earning a death glare from the Pokemon. Could he have possibly noticed the angry tone in his voice as he called out to the Squirtle named Kai. "Can't believe that me and my partner Kai are going to win, huh? Well, well! Don't worry! I'll take good care of you after I capture you!"
No.
Oh, no.
Anything but that.
He was a wild Pokemon! It was his nature! He couldn't become the slave of a Pokemon trainer; all his life was dedicated to avoiding such and atroscity! His options were fight or flight and, being at a type disadvantage due to fighting against a water-type made the idea of winning this fight quite unbelievable. Could he take flight? Flee? Yes! Run away from all of the madness before a Poke' Ball hit his head and captured him in it's cage. However, before he could do that -
Pow!
When the water gun hit, his hopes for running away were dashed. He was pathetically weak and, with one more attack, he'd have been felled. The other Pokemon, however, gave a very different reaction. (I did it, Sensei! I really did it!) This only made the male that much angrier. (What's wrong with you? You're a Pokemon, not an infant! Stop acting like you've been dropped on your head one to many times!) A confused looked came across Kai's face and he asked, (What do you mean by that?) Oh, the idiot. His confusion left him wide open for an attack! The needles attacked the turtle's shell, causing minimal damage. (No...!) he cried, shocked. (A weak attack like that won't finish me!) his opponent cried almost smugly.
"Haha! It will take a lot more power than that to even touch Kai!" the human was saying. "Nice water gun, Kai! That was perfect! Now let's finished this with some bubbles!" Oh, what an embarassing way to go down. The moment the bubbles touched his skin, they popped, leaving a burning sensation in their wake. The Gligar collapsed, to exausted to go on a moment longer. (I just wanted... to...)
WILD GLIGAR APPEAREDTYPE;; / ABILITY;; sand veil. LEVEL;; eleven. HIT POINTS;; 0/55 MOVE SET;; poison sting, sand-attack, and harden. BATTLE SUMMARY;; Wild GLIGAR was hit by BUBBLE. SIX DAMAGE POINTS subracted. Wild GLIGAR FAINTED and is ready for capture.

Love the picture <3333 "Down and out for the capture! That was too easy!" Hataro laughed, tossing a pokeball at the pitiful bat scorpion. Walking up to the pokeball, he flicked his bangs from his face after the wind ruffled them. "Don't you worry; You're going to become strong, and you'll be glad you were caught by me and no one else!" He told the Gligar in its pokeball. At his side, Kai smiled. "Squirt Squirtle!(Yay! A new pokemon!)" The squirtle cheered happily, excited at the thought that he would have a new training partner. "You've done well, Kai! Now we need to come up with a good name for our new comrade! How does Jin sound? It stands for Justice; pretty cool, huh?" "Squirtle!!(It sounds wonderful, Sensei!)" Kai replied excitedly. "Right, then your new name from now on will be Jin! Welcome to the team, Jin!" Hataro called out, bringing Jin from his pokeball. The Gligar appeared, still looking tired from the battle, but even more dark looking was his defeated expression. From now on, he would have to listen to a human's commands, and so far, he wasn't too happy about it.

((Jin has to either be healed with a revive and potion or healed in a pokemon center before you can use him, because he was fainted previously. Just letting you know)) All of the commotion the short battle had made would seem to have captured the attention of a few more Pokemon, but unfortunately not. With Jin defeated and now part of a team, no Pokemon was there to see his demise. No one was there to avenge the Gligar. It was survival of the fittest, and the Gligar had just been defeated. No more wild freedom for him. However, there was one Pokemon that 'might' have cared. At the sound of the Gligar's last cry, two eyes had opened in the barren wasteland. A few sniffs at the air were soon followed by four heavy footsteps in an attempt to get to the battle sight and save her one true love! Granted, Gligar had no idea of his love, but still. What better way to show him now by avenging his defeat and keeping him from becoming captured? He wanted nothing to do with trainers, so Hippopotas was going to save him, instead of the other way around. I'm coming for you! She yelled, which sounded nothing more like a gurgling cry as the Hippo neared the trainer. The sand around them started to whirl about, like an invisible gust of wind had disordered it. As the hippo grew nearer, the sand was starting to wisp about.. By the time she reached Jin and his new team mates, an all out storm was on. Her eyes scanned the situation, and anger flared in her heart when she saw the outcome. Gligar, under orders? No! Travelling with a trainer, never to be seen by her again? NO! Hippopotas let out a snort and drug her foot along the path like a bull about to charge. When she did, her mouth was open, prepared to bite whatever she came into contact with first. Love the picture <3333 "Squirtle!(Oh my!)" Kai cried in surprise as the Gligar collapsed again. "Still feeling a bit beat from that last battle, I guess." Hataro remarked, walking over and leaning down next to the Gligar. "This should help." He held out a shining stone, a Revive, and the powers of the stone brought strength into the Gligar's body. Then he sprayed Jin's cuts and bruises with a Potion. "That should fix you up for now."Jin felt the heavy weight of dead consciousness lighten, and strength poured into his body, returning to him. His head felt lighter, and he looked up. Had this human just healed him? He had thought it would be the end of all freedom, and he still wasn't fond of humans in the least. But as a pokemon, he had to feel grateful for this human's healing him. Without warning, a sand storm whipped up. Hataro knew enough that this sudden change of weather meant the appearance of a pokemon. And soon enough, a Hippopotas appeared. "Alright, Jin, start off with Poison Sting!" Hataro commanded first. The Gligar cringed in frustration. He couldn't possibly obey the command, for many reasons, one of which was his pride, another was his reluctance to hurt a fellow pokemon. He had to keep his pride! So he didn't move, his eyes glaring determinedly ahead. But the wild hippopotas just kept charging, and Jin was in the way. He didn't want to follow Hataro's orders, but he also didn't want to lose. "Glii.....(I don't want to do this, but...)" He growled, then charged. With a wave of his claws, he glided over the Hippopotas, and landing, stuck his tail out, aiming to hit the Hippopotas from behind. But after his attempt, soon after, huge jaws clamped onto his tail, and he squealed in pain.

Love the picture <3333 Jin cried out again in pain, feeling his poor tail get smashed in the heavy mouth of the hippopotas, and cringed, for moving around made his tail hurt even more. Hataro shook his head. Jin needed more training before it would do better in battle against pokemon of this level. He, completely confident in his own skills as a Gijinka, was usually hesitant in giving himself more pokemon to look after and train, and Kai was the only exception to this, having amused him just enough to convince him to take Kai with him wherever he went, and train the young squirtle. He had captured Jin mostly out of curiosity, and interest in the pokemon itself, as well as in first impression of how strong the pokemon looked. Raising and training pokemon was new to him, but little by little, he was experiencing it for himself. "Return, Gligar." He commanded, bringing the flying scorpion back into its pokeball, calling it by its species name. Stepping forward to take Jin's place, Hataro brought his arm sleeve over his face to shield it from the stinging sands of the mini sandstorm. with his left arm holding his sleeve over most of his face, and his eyes squinted to keep out the sand from the sandstorm, he lunged toward the Hipopotas, aiming to smash his hand down upon the hippopotas with his Assurance attack.
