The fire crackled ominously before Will's eyes. What traces of light that had streamed from the branches above had begun to fade quickly. Night would soon consume the area and leave it in a void of darkness. The only light would be this one single fire pit, crackling weakly. The chucks of wood he had found had been wet, left lingering too long in the morning dew and he hadn't taken the time to dry them out. Like some second rate novice he had found himself caught unprepared. If the worst came, his Cyndaquil could always provide a source of light and warmth, but that would surely tire her out quickly. Instead, Will would buy his time and wait. See what happened and react to it. It was easier to think under pressure. Pressure forced a decision instead of causing him to run through an endless list of "what if's".
Sure, he could have used his pokemon's fire to dry out the sticks easier. However, he wanted her to preserve her strength. The pokemon would surely become active very soon. They'd come out and provide a perfect test of her progress so far. They hadn't been able to go over much. It had mostly been building upon what she already possessed. Control over her fire, using her speed as an advantage, and becoming aware of her weaknesses. All of it was progress, but it was small steps instead of massive leaps. The cigarette in his mouth singed his lips and he hastily spit it out out of pure reaction. It had burnt down to the filter, he noticed. Taking out another he lit it to ease his nerves. Their first battle. Real battle. It would not only test her, but his own skill as well.
The fire dimmed slightly and suddenly caught a second wind of life, flaring as the flames fed easier off of the dry portions of wood. He glanced over to his Cyndaquil. She was being unusually quiet and still. A certain quirk he was beginning to notice. Will wasn't a hundred percent sure, but he was beginning to think that she was of a more serious nature than most others of her breed. Hopefully, that would allow them to form into a compatible unit in battle. William needed determined pokemon. He could work with weak. Weak with effort and determination could become strong. So long as his pokemon wanted to become stronger, he would do everything in his ability to help it.
A foreign noise suddenly alerted him. His fire mouse had already stood, the four red spot on her back began to give off a shimmer in the air as she warmed up. Fire would burst from her back at a moments notice. William allowed the slightest bit of pride to sink into his eyes at her reaction. She was scared and nervous, but she was also anticipating a fight. He could see the yearning to prove herself. "Easy, remember what we've been working on," he soothed. She looked toward him and the heat receded slightly, but she remained standing and alert.
One might have wondered why Will had chosen to take his training to the more difficult path and under less that optimal circumstances. It was simple. Here, they held the elemental advantage. Here in this spot where they waited, where they had trained hours previous, they knew the imminent terrain most. They were familiar here, despite it being night which was more than they could have hoped for. Combined, it should be enough to level the playing field. It should...Would it though? They were about to find out.

Ah, wonderful night. Oh how it stained the sky with its dark glory. For every second the darkness had spread, more and more little figures began to stir. Eyes that glew against the shadows of their many holes, nooks, crannies, and many other hiding places while other figures snuck and crawled from their cozy homes. It was time for the scavenge, feast upon what you could find or starve while the others took what they needed to fill their bellies. Wilds all of them. And among them was a wild who was only too pleased to do his chores. Awakening from his dark shadowy burrow from beneath a tree, he crawled and crawled. Skillfully moving across the outstretched roots of his dark home.
What was going to be his meal for today. Night had come as the sun had died. Hungry mouths hunting to silence their unhappy bellies. His especially was very unhappy as it craved for food. Berries seemed like a decent choice but they were always hard to find in abundance with so many competitors. No, he would need something that was abundant but also nourishing. Perhaps one of his fellow bug pokemon could fill his belly? Perhaps and it would happen as he was no weakling in this forest. He bore more than a few scars from the conflict of reaching towards the top. So onward he went, onward to find his meal. It shouldn't be hard, it wouldn't be hard. If a bug could smile, he would be.
Yet on his hunt, he found something much more than some tasty bug-pokemon. Oh yes, this would be much better as what he spot was a trainer. One of the more dangerous to approach, as all wilds knew but they held the most wonderful of bounties. Maybe he would attack. Yes, he shall. Perhaps he would sneak up and into the pack? Oh but that plan was dashed away when the trainer's little pet decided to become aware. What a scared little beast it was. What challenge would that be? None surely, not against this monster of a bug's power. Of course he wasn't one to study up on type advantages. Yet for a bug-pokemon he was awfully confident about his power.

The Cyndaquil's back sudden flared to life, bursting with a strong blaze. Will cringed at the sudden brightness and had to blind a few spots from his vision. The flames from his pokemon dwarfed the campfire that had only just begun to strengthen moments prior. However, when his eyes did adjust he followed his pokemon's pointed stare to a small bug type huddling in the shadows on the outskirts of the fire's light. Level: 10 Type: FireAbility: BlazeHP: 50/50Move Pool:Tackle Leer SmokescreenEmberThis was it. The Cyndaquil let the anger of all the days frustrations be released to fuel the flames that burned behind her. This was where she'd prove to her partner that she wasn't weak. She wouldn't allow herself to get nervous from his piercing green eyes. She didn't have to fear those critical green orbs. She would prove that she wasn't worthless. Right here and now, she'd earn his praise. If she could cook this diminutive bug in one vibrant blaze, he would have to respect her. There would be nothing for him to criticize either. "Smokescreen," she heard him say. The Cyndaquil stalled, considering the move. Why? Why should she try to distract the other pokemon when she could take it out in one attack? She knew she could. Her body had produced flames that had been much stronger than he had witnessed and she was confident she could mimic the strength, if not create stronger ones. So she disobeyed him. It wasn't because she didn't respect him, his very presence reeked alpha. In all honestly, he terrified her when she saw him grow angry over something she couldn't see. Not directed at her, but still enough to frighten her into caution. No, the Cyndaquil disobeyed because she had to prove to him, prove to herself, that her flames were not weak! She suddenly rushed forward, straight at the pokemon. She took the initiative, the first strike would be hers and it would be the last strike. Then she suddenly jumped to the left in an attempt to catch the other pokemon unaware. A mix of her instincts forced the flow of her body, but the experience she'd gained in the laboratory allowed her to control herself. Drawing in a large breath, the flames flared on her back, before unleashing a torrent of flames. The ember shot at the bug, scorching the air and ground. (I ran the formula and the damage would round down to 21)

Oh? This trainer was actually going to battle him? Well of course, all trainers attacked even when the pokemon was far stronger than the one in their party. Well this chump was going to wish he'd just hand over his food and run away. Well what fun would that be? In fact, this bug was quite exhilierated to face off against the human's own little pet. Even when he saw the fire on the creature's back flare hot and bright the bug did not back down. In fact he did quite the opposite, he hissed a challenge. His antenna flicked with anticipation. Should he attack first? That wasn't going to happen as the other pokemon was faster than he himself. Well he would just have to win with pure, raw power then. That was, after-all his specialty.
When the trainer commanded his pet to attack, the venipede was prepared for a blast of black smoke in his face. After a swift moment that didn't seem to be happening. This pet didn't listen to its trainer's commands? There was something you didn't see everyday. What a courageous, idiotic fire-creature. Of course the fire-mouse attacked, but not with what it was commanded to attack with. Oh no, instead of a black fog the venipede was greeted with a bright shower of flames. This pet may have done some fancy dancing but that wasn't going to be enough to take this warrior's eyes off it. When the flames came to meet him, he made no attempt to dodge, he knew he wasn't going to be fast enough. Fire scorched and burned him. Fire bright as his fighting spirit he would say. But that was not enough for during the flames, the bug's eyes nearly lit with excitement as he jumped into a ball; spun so quick that he looked like a tire and shot off toward the fire-mouse. A Rollout!
If he hit the pokemon he would turn three more times to smash into it. Spinning rapidly, his accuracy was not perfect but he was confient he wouldn't miss. In fact if he did miss he knew it would be his end. He must not miss!

Will hadn't moved from his seat. Most trainers would have stood, pointed dramatically, and enthusiastically cheered from behind their pokemon. William wasn't most trainers. He had stayed where he was, barely moving and watched. The young man didn't want to take a chance in attracting any other pokemon. Bug may be bugs, and his Cyndaquil may hold a type advantage, but she could not find against an army. So Will stayed put and struggled to keep his sense about him. The boy wanted to look around, make sure he was safe, but he couldn't just ignore the battle. So he strained his ears trying to listen for any rustling. He watched the other pokemon carefully. Will was still far from an expert, but the bug pokemon had a confident strength about it. It knew it was strong and it wasn't scared. There was no posturing or trying to make itself look bigger, the bug had battle experience from being wild. He was nervous should one of its attacks actually manage to hit his pokemon. They had to fight smart too. The duo couldn't just count on outright power before they knew how powerful they were together. Will ran through what he remembered the fire mouse's moves to be. It didn't take long for him to come to a decision. Smokescreen should give decent cover for his pokemon, lessening the chance of damage. "Smokescreen," it should have been flawless. This was one of the moves they had spent time working on. At first it had been closer to his cigarette smoke than anything that could be called a smokescreen. By the time they finished, she could produce a decent cloud, both dark and thick. But as will waited...the dark cloud never came. He had to relax before he bit through the butt of his cigarette. The little rodent had disobeyed a direct order! If the situation hadn't be so serious William would have lost his temper and raged for hours before calming down. Yet, he used all his willpower to keep his head straight. He couldn't afford to lose it during their first battle. Still, Will was impressed by the gout of fire that shot out. It made the ones before look like candles. Flicking off the ash from his cancer stick, he held back a growl at the retaliation. The bug pokemon peeled out straight for Cyndaquil and slammed into her. What was going on? She didn't even try to dodge it! He wasn't sure what was worse, her not listening or him suddenly mute from the sheer shock that so much of this battle was out of his control. The rage bubbled inside of him seeing that she was still struggling up while the bug was coming around for another pass. The time for strategy had passed, they needed ruthless strength now. "Ember again!" He barked harshly. There was a saying that "if looks could kill" well if Will's voice could have harmed they would have stung his Cyndaquil into action. Another blast of fire escaped her mouth just as the bug was going to close in once more. Spin, spin, spin the venipede did. During his roll, he was at least twice as fast if anything. Okay not so fast maybe but at least he was quick enough to actually hit the pokemon! His confidence grew, even if this fire-creature wanted to defend itself it would do not nearly so much defending as he did attacking. The excitement was thrilling, he had never faced such an opponent before; well maybe except for the pokemon who the humans labeled as the man eater. Against that monster even this proud bug had to escape being squashed. But enough reminiscing; eyes back to the battle. Keep your eyes on the prey, not on the horizon as they always said.
After his first hit, he could feel the pet smack against his shell. That was a signal that his opponent was down; down to turn and hit it again. He had to be quick else it'd get the advantage on him! He wouldn't let that happen! As he came around to a turn-point and spun directly at the creature he could hear its trainer nearly snarl a command. It sounded like a snarl to his ears anyway; where-ever those might be. Definitely one of the stronger trainers, it was no wonder that the creature immediately got up and did what she was told this time. She was quick, too quick for him to completely get through. But he had to wonder; with such a strong trainer why did she not listen in the first place?
Well there was no hope for wondering as he felt his shell be engulfed in flames once more right as he was upon it. The fire however drained his strength of everything. So much for the victorious howl that would echo from his victorious self. Instead his body uncurled right as he was at it. He would do no damage, as his attack was out. He would just land atop it or if it moved he would splat onto the ground in defeat... He was out. Now he was the prey to this trainer. There was no regret, for he chose to strike with his confidence a flame but still... It was frustrating! How did he lose to this creature and her trainer?! How could this have happened?! Maybe he could get away, if this trainer didn't wish to capture him he could crawl away but for now all he could do was muster his fighting strength. He won't give up that easily, even if he was beaten so horribly. And maybe next time, if he found this trainer again he would challenge it.

The Cyndaquil gave a tired huff of air as she swayed slightly on her feet. Two embers with that amount of effort behind them were enough to take out a good deal from a pokemon still so young. Additionally, the attack had been performed almost one after another. Still, she watched the small bug creature to make sure it stayed down. The flamed that only moments ago burned fiercely behind her died down before snuffing out completely. Shadows leaped out claim the area once more. Only when a pokeball sailed over her did she allow herself to collapse tiredly on her rump. A part of her dreaded the reaction her master was bound to give her. Would he make her the target of all that rage? The remaining part of her couldn't really find the energy to care. So she was startled when she was suddenly picked up.
Lifted into the air and turned around she came face to face with Will. The Cyndaquil didn't know what kind of look he was giving her, but it was angry or proud. Finally, he gave an exasperated sigh. "Don't disobey my orders again...but...good job." The Cyndaquil gave a slight squeak of surprise, then chirped happily. Will only acknowledged his pokemon's happiness by sticking her in his jacket to help ward off the chill that had come with night. She settled there comfortably and watched the pokeball shake as the pokemon within struggled. If it broke free, the Cyndaquil would have to be able to force herself to finish the creature. She refused to let it hurt her partner.
"By the way, I thought up a name for you. I'll call you Sati." The pokemon tensed. She'd been given a name? She'd been given a name! Sati took her new title with pride, having earned it through her first battle. Or that's what she thought anyway. She'd proven that she was worthy of one and, more importantly, his trust in her strength. No longer would he see a weak little starter. From this point forward she only wished that he would see a partner in battle that he could rely on. A second wind sudden lessened the fatigue she was feeling. The little fire mouse felt like she could go through another five...no, ten battles with ease.

The ball that captured the wild pokemon had been sealed. How unfortunate, or maybe it was fortunate, for the aggressive bug.
The battle was short, very quite short indeed. But to the onlookers it was a deathmatch. One that was to determine the fate of the loser. Yeah, thats not what they all thought, that was just what one little kricketot's thought. One very frightened kricketot at that. Yet its fellow spectators were looking in on awe, challenging one and other to charge the trainer. Yeah this little cricket-pokemon was going to do no such thing! Well too bad he didn't have much choice in the matter as he felt two of his fellow bugs push the pokemon out of the shadows. Losing balance the little pokemon chirped its name in alarm and fel straight down from its hiding place in the trees. Smack! One could've swore he broke his shell.
Fear made the pokemon was the feint death but an exhilerated fear forced him up to try and run away. He got up alright but there was just one little problem... He was frozen solid. He was going to get toasted! Maybe he could fight his way out, the other pokemon had been able to weaken the fire-user but still... Oh the terrifying flames that had shot out of the little beast's back during the battle was enough to scare the poor little bug out of its wits. He could try to run but they would chase him. He had to fight to flee. Hit and run tatics! Yes that should work!

Will watched with baited breath as the pokemon struggled to break free from the confines of the ball. It was an exhilarating experience. It wasn't as if he was doing anything other than waiting, but the way each millisecond dragged on. Any shake could spell the wasted of a pokeball. This pokemon could have very well had the strength left to reduce the ball to scrap if they hadn't been thorough enough. His heart must have been going in overdrive in sheer excitement. Perhaps this was a thrill in and of itself like gambling. Everything came down to change when you thought about it. However, the ball finally clicked and sealed, having stabilized itself. He crouched and then knelt fully on the ground. For a moment, he just stared at the still contraption. Within it was his first captured pokemon. His hand reached out and hesitated as it came closer. He had thrown the ball out of reflex. Did he really want this creature? William hadn't taken the time to go over the possible team dynamics and elemental balance of his team. Still...the creature had displayed an impressive surety in battle. It had strength and it wanted to become stronger. How could he just rid himself of something with potential. Shouldn't he at least use it until something better came along? At the very least if would simply break if pushed to far, but he would still get a good mileage out of it. As long as it served some sort of purpose he'd keep it. When it outlasted that, he would just throw it away. He wouldn't admit that he held some kind of sentimental value for the first pokemon he captured. He refused to admit it. Just like he had refused to admit how much the disappearance of the first pokemon he had ever bred stung so much. Face devoid of emotion, he snatched up the ball and shrunk it before stashing it in his pocket. Only then did the crash draw him out of his thoughts. A small Kricketot. Scared and pathetic looking, as it flailed on its back. Will could feel Sati heating up at the thought of another challenge. It seemed that the first battle had ended much too quickly for her tastes. In fact, before he knew it, she had already free herself from his jacket effortlessly. Will glared at the weak specimen before him. The thing looked ready to bolt any second. Still, even if it was worthless, it was of the bug grouping. He may have a chance of breeding something useful out of it should the specifics match up. That was even if both of his captures were worthless, he could start from scratch. But first, he had to make sure it had some form of backbone. He wouldn't stand for anything that didn't have a spirit. "Leer," he said unimpressed. Sati obeyed once more. The fire on her back erupted and she set herself in a menacing stance to intimidate the other creature. The squinted eyes locked on the pokemon. Will stood behind her, shadows flickering over his form because of the fires from the pokemon's back. The ever present spectator. His green eyes glinted sharply, fully expecting the bug to run. The terrified cricket pokemon almost crapped itself when the unjust world just got crueler. Just when it had considered fleeing for its life, it met the cyndaquil's terrifying eyes! Just that horrible, soul killing glare could melt away his ability to move. He felt like Sati could see through his defenses, and he was completely powerless. The outcome of this battle seemed decided at best. The trainer at least looked like he couldn't care less. But the hopes that he would let Kricketot go were gone now, as the trainer had ordered his pokemon to attack. So this was his fate. To be beaten by a trainer's pokemon, and then...what would happen after this? Would he awaken within the confines of a pokeball, or left out here to die or be eaten by another pokemon? Neither outcome seemed pleasant at this moment but the least he could do was to struggle. With a red aura surrounding its small body and marking the start of his Struggle Bug attack, he began to crouch down defensively while the red aura faded away briefly. Then, the red aura flashed brighter, and a weak surge of power was directed at Sati.

It didn't run. Maybe Will had underestimated how powerful of a motivator fear could be. The emotion had apparently been enough to make the bug pokemon spontaneously grow a spine. However, he was more concerned about what would happen after Sati crushed it like the bug it was. Should he capture it? He already had one bug pokemon. One that seemed more than willing to stand and fight a stronger opponent, unlike the specimen before him. He still had a few pokeballs left from his starter pack too. The boy just wasn't sure if it'd be worth it. The red flash caught his eye and he watched Sati take and brush off the attack...Well almost, he flame seemed to weaken by the slightest margin. She looked as if she had to put more effort into keeping it lit at that level. It didn't seem to hurt her much, but it had weakened her slightly from what he could tell. Well, he had already begun setting up for this attack route so he may as well complete it. "Tackle." Will felt strangely calm giving orders. He always had, even as a child. There was something about commanding a creature that could become so powerful to fight for you. Making them respect you through sheer determination and character. Watching such acts of violence might have horrified others, but Will could only burn it into his memory to go over repeatedly with a cold fascination. Level: 13 Type: FireAbility: BlazeHP: 42/50Move Pool:Tackle Leer Smokescreen Quick AttackEmberStatus: Sp. Atk: -1 Sati waited, the sharp pain on her side from the previous bug's attack had to nothing more than a dull throb. If she could handle a rollout attack she could handle anything this bug could throw at her. So Sati braced herself and held her ground against the full brunt of yet another attack. It hurt, but not much. However, a bit of fatigue had managed to settle over her body. She felt the flames on her back grow dimmer, the cyndaquil even wanted to sit down and breath. However, she fought it off and allowed a burst of anger to get the flames burning again. She eyed the creature, nervous and edgy. The urge to just attack screamed through her small body, but she contained herself. She'd proved herself, earned her name. There was no reason to disobey now. Sait knew they had to open up to each other. It was a slow process for both of them. Battle made it easier, she could feel the young man knew what he was doing. The way he thought so much during their training. Seemingly useless notions turned into a definite strategy at the last moments when it was to late to counter. Sati would trust him. "Tackle." As if flipping a switch, Sati broke passed the invisible chains weighing her down. The world around her blurred as she shot off. Her small body pushing itself for speed. In training her tackle had been slow and obvious. This was different. There was no need for her to posture, show that she knew what she was doing. There was only the purpose to attack. She blurred forward, faster still and gained momentum. Without even noticing, the Cyndaquil had pushed passed a Tackle and went full on into a newly learned Quick Attack maneuver. The pokemon had basically blurred as soon as the order escaped Will's lips. All one would have seen was a dark blur that left flames in its wake. Sati could best be likened to a comet. A comet that zigzagged its way before attempting to slam straight into the Kricketot. Even Will had been shocked. He didn't realize she was growing that quickly. Sure, he noticed the little things like a stronger flame, building endurance, and the way 'baby fat' was lessening. However, this was more than just corrections to battle style or adjusting to meld better with his commands. This was a full leap in skill if she just pushed herself into using a new attack.

Why was this happening to him? It wasn't fair! Life as a wild pokemon was just too cruel! Living in fear of every other living creature, running, running, and running for his life...then again, maybe life as a trainer's pokemon might be safer...No! he couldn't possibly be forced to fight until he dropped every battle! It was too much! Too terrifying! Besides, this trainer probably thought he was weak and worthless. The young Kricketot thought it inevitably true. But if he could just be given the chance to grow, and get stronger, than he wouldn't be so weak anymore! Life as a low level pokemon was harsh. Very few made it through their younger years into adulthood, strong enough to truly fend for themselves. Finally, the kricketot had come to some sort of conclusion. This was a no-win situation. Before he could even move, the Cyndaquil suddenly became a blur, and he felt the breath knocked out of him as he was being knocked back several meters from the power. But he could still try to show that he had some spirit. Scowling at the Cyndaquil, he was preparing to cry his last words before he was finished, and growled defiantly.

Will was slightly impressed the pokemon hadn't dropped yet. It was still struggling to escape or gain the upper hand. Still searching for that one life line or weakness. It was more than he expected when this battle had first started. However, this battle was becoming tedious and uninteresting if it had nothing special to show. A defiant growl would not be enough to ward off Sati. Will held confidence in her strength and her determination to prove herself. The creature was on its last leg of strength and Sati was still going strong. This was as good as over. "Ember." Level: 14 Type: FireAbility: BlazeHP: 42/50Move Pool:Tackle Leer Smokescreen Quick AttackEmberStatus: Sp. Atk: -1 Atk -1 Sati's back flared and a small burst of flame escaped her mouth at the command. The Cyndaquil certainly didn't hold back, but she didn't waste energy on a bug that was already half dead anyway. Allowing the last tongues of fire to leave her mouth she panted a bit. Two battles had been tiring, nothing she couldn't handle, but tiring. The effort of her consecutive attacks had been more challenging that the opponents themselves honestly. It wasn't that they were weak, she knew she held an advantage over them. Sati didn't take pride in it, but she wouldn't allow herself to lose. Keeping an eye trained on where the pokemon was, the fire mouse calmly took a few paces back. She moved closer to her tamer, but made sure not to be in the way should he decide to throw a pokeball. Her work was done. However, the urge to prove herself still blazed strongly inside her even as the flames on her back snuffed out. She peeked in her trainer's direction to see him rolling a pokeball between his fingers. He was probably waiting for a signal. That or still considering if the pokemon would make a worthwhile addition to a team. Sati would be okay with whatever he chose so she turned back to the bug pokemon and looked for any signs of it still holding a bit of fight.

"Krrrr." Right after growling defiantly at the trainer and his pokemon, the Kricketot mustered up all his remaining strength and began to charge at the Cyndaquil, even though it had no real tactic in mind. The Kricketot never had a chance since the beginning anyway. "Icket! Icke icketot!!" He cried in his charge of a lifetime brigade. It was a brutal scene. The desperation of a wild pokemon and the inevitable demise by fire. Fire was feared by almost all bug pokemon, and this kricketot was no exception. He saw his fate in the burst of flame that escaped the cyndaquil's mouth at the command, and he knew that the end was nearing fast. He saw his short, pathetic life flash before his eyes when the final tongue of flame came his way, and engulfed him in Hades. "Kriiiiiiiiii!!" the bug squealed in pain, feeling the flames melting his shell and burning his lungs. The bug couldn't take it anymore, and it crumpled to the ground.

There was a word called mercy. People often spouted it out whilst in pain, seeking a relief when they were clearly outmatched by something that was beyond them. Being pushed back and shown how weak they were didn't sit well with them. Yet, that pain brought them to realization. And that pain made them fear. The ones with pride held out, mustering all of their strength for the sole purpose of holding out. They remained defiant, but in the end they cracked. They all cracked. So they ended up begging because they had more sense in self preservation than in mere pride. If any word would have come to Will's mind as that bug pokemon cried out as it was engulfed in flames, "mercy" would have been most prominent. The creature cried out for it. Sure, Will could not actually understand it. He didn't know anyone that could just understand wild pokemon. Most could barely understand their own. However, the red head had the distinct feel that the creature just wanted it suffering to end. Still, mercy wasn't a word that Will practiced. Give mercy and an enemy might see weakness. The teen hated weakness. So he watched the creature burn for a few more moments than necessary. Even the Cyndaquil was unnerved, looking back at him and seeing the flames that she had spewed reflect in his eyes. Then finally after a few moments that seem more along the lines of hours, Will threw a pokeball. A bright red beam of light transferred it to the confinement and he watched the equipment as it would soon begin a count. The pokemon was weak, insignificant, and even pathetic. All things he did not want. It only made the pokemon that much more of a challenge. Will hated weaknesses, but he did love challenges. If he could make this pokemon a beast within the battlefield, it would only prove him as that much more of a capable breeder and even trainer despite it not being his focus. So he allowed himself to relax his shoulders and spat the distaste for the creature from his mouth. If he could turn the weak into the strong then he could make the strong utterly superior to others' definitions of the word. "And if not?" One might wonder. Then he would use the creature as a punching bag for the other pokemon in his arsenal that could become strong. It would be a stepping stone for the ones that wanted to be superior. Then he'd simply get rid of it like the trash it was. There was no delusion, no bar set for expectations. There was no room for waste. Will had to use what he was given to the utmost until it broke or adapted. There was no room for mercy in Will's mind or vocabulary. This would make two more to his belt. Two more to train. Two more to provide for. Each had to pull their own weight. Level: 15 Type: FireAbility: BlazeHP: 42/50Move Pool:Tackle Leer Smokescreen Quick AttackEmberStatus:
