Not actually what she looks like, but close enough. I was having fun with the Gaia avatars ^^ you can make one too if you want~ Having just left the tiny, overlooked Vardent Town, known for being surrounded by dark, threatening woods, Shizuka had, without hesitation, chosen the patch called Route 1, to travel to Chisai Village. "Chisai is just one 'i' short of being named Chiisai, which means 'small' in Japanese." Shizuka was saying cheerfully to the young Meowth that sat comfortably on her shoulder. It wasn't all that meaningless to talk to her starter pokemon, for the ever proud and inquisitive feline always talked back, well, in meows and yowls. But Shizuka felt like somehow, she had made a connection with Sakura, and they could understand each other well. She had chosen Route 1 over Yami's forest because of the prospect of finding adorable pokemon like Poochyena and Shinx, while in Yami forest, she would find the ever dis-likable bug pokemon like the poisonous weedle, the creepy Spinarak, the venomous Venipede, and who wouldn't not want to go with rumors flying around about the evil, man-eating monster said to reside within the forest? No offense to the pokemon themselves, but Shizuka, no matter what, could not imagine having to try to handle bug pokemon, and her powerful dislike for bug pokemon went to the extreme in situations where she would be forced to reveal her firm detest for the creepy crawlers. To be honest, it wasn't that she was claustrophobic or anything, she just enjoyed being able to see her enemies before they spotted her, which was easier done when traveling the route of green grass and pretty paths than the dark gloomy forest filled with bug pokemon. Even though she had only just gotten her first starter from Professor Pine at Vardent Town, Sakura had made herself comfortable immediately upon Shizuka's shoulder, and the two found that they were pretty much destined for each other. It's true, Shizuka believed in destiny, not to a crazy level, but to the point where she can believe to herself that she and Sakura were meant to meet and become close friends and partners on this wonderful adventure called a "Journey" to most trainers. She had been born with the blood of a Vulpix, as well as being born with the blood of a human. Everyone called these rare specimens, "Gijinka". Her parents had explained this to her very clearly, and her mother had even taught her how to use her powers to create a Genjutsu where it looked like she was just a normal human, her Vulpix ears and tails hidden under the veil of invisibility. She didn't like having to lie to people she came to love as friends, but she also knew that it couldn't be helped. Why couldn't humans just accept the existance of Gijinka? Since she would be spending a lot of time with her pokemon, Shizuka had shown Sakura her secret as soon as they were out of civilian sight range and far enough away from Vardent town. To her surprise, Sakura just accepted it as totally cool, maybe even a bit awesome to be the pokemon of a trainer that was part pokemon. The inquisitive cat couldn't ask for anything cooler in a trainer than for the trainer to be part pokemon. But keeping up the spell drained her strength, and with no other trainers or people around, Shizuka let her six Vulpix tails swing freely, as well as not hiding the Vulpix ears that sat upon her head and flicked in Sakura's direction occasionally.

AHHHHHHH!!! A high-shrilled scream sounded from near the edge of the infamous Yami's Forest and Route 1. Of course the frenzied golden-haired figure didn't appear from just no where only to see a bug-pokemon and to scream in pure shock and astonishment. No, no, no, quite the opposite; after all the girl had just come from Chisai to relax in the patches of grass between the almost nonexistent town of Vardent and the more noticable Chisai. As completely idiotic as that might've sounded to many, the gold girl enjoyed the almost never traveled path. Even when it was traveled it was only because of new trainers, coordinators, and what-ever else came that way to see the professor. Even then, they usually didn't stray off the path unless it was to look for pokemon.
Well the girl and her closely following arcanine who was calling out for her to stop and be calm (yeah that wasn't going to happen) would usually avoid strangers, especially the scary looking ones, and go along with their relaxing. That wasn't going to happen, not with the girl not only running at full speed, but running fast enough she could rival a ninetails in full flight. That also meant her eyes were closed, and even tearing a bit, as she ran.
Running blind with both her hat and all ninetails revealed as nine pillars of shot out fluff... Wonder how that'll end. Well it'll end rather quickly as Kishin howled to his master, Master! Stop! Ahead of you! A warning it was, but a warning she had ignored; a warning that was howled a few more times. Yet even still he could not stop her from sprinting so he tried a different approach. He wouldn't get in front of her to stop her from the full-on collision she was definitely going to end up in if the other figure didn't move out of either reflex or somehow hearing the warning, he was going to let her ram into the other. It would be better than him trying to get ahead, as he would probably smush the other to make her stop. That wouldn't end well but still he followed as the girl still ran forward, completely oblivious of the other figure who was barely a few feet away.

Beautiful, vibrant green grass stretch across the landscape as the sun, high in a sky devoid of clouds, basked the land in a warm glow. The path leading into the distance seemed both inviting and cheerful. There was even a fresh, untainted smell lingering in the air that could only be associated with nature. This was supposed to be the part where the naive youngster charges headfirst into his adventure without fear and brimming with confidence, right? A shame William was as far away from the typical blind idealist as one could get. The young man hadn't rushed off with a mindset of determined invincibility. He didn't jump straight into a battle with the first clueless creature to catch his eye. Instead, he forced himself to move and struggled with every step taken.
There was a certain pressure on his shoulders the further he walked. Yet, he couldn't just stop as he felt restless and even anxious. Having made a life changing choice does that to a person. When it hit varied from person to person, but that realization the sudden surge of that everything was going to change always hit. Will had put it off, thought nothing of it for the longest time. Even when he managed to get his starter from the professor he felt nothing but at ease. Now, he was a bundle of tightly bound nerves. The boy's mind ran over things over and over and it felt like he was just going in a circle and getting nothing accomplished. Things he knew, things he should expect, things he should look into, and anything else that happened to cross his mind.
In his green jumpsuit, he had nothing but the supplies he'd be gifted with and a few essentials he'd packed. That and the pokemon that was currently riding in his jacket, peeking out the unzipped junction and supported by an arm. It...she, he had to remind himself, seemed complacent and comfortable in that spot. Will wasn't sure about going about forming bonds and whatnot, but should he let her wander next to him while he was so distracted he may leave her behind. As much as he dreaded the thought, he still needed to give her a name. Despite the fact that he wished otherwise as a name caused someone to become attached. Still, just referring to her by her breed's name was inefficient and overly complicated. He had his tools, now he just needed to work with them and keep an open mind.
"Like that saying, what was it again? Oh right, 'Life is like a box of chocolates'." A box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless, meaningless gift that no one ever asked for. Unreturnable because all one gets is another box of chocolates. So the person is stuck with a undefinable dry, pasty crap spit out by a machine somewhere which most mindlessly wolf down when there's nothing else left to eat. Every once in awhile there's a good one that surprises, but they're gone too fast and the taste is... fleeting. So then you're left with nothing but bits of hardened jelly and teeth-shattering nuts. And, if you're desperate enough to eat those, all you've got left is an empty box. Or not so empty since its filled with useless brown paper wrappers when you look a little closer.
Will would make it work anyway. He could amuse himself with the paper wrappers. Just because they looked useless didn't mean they couldn't do something. He could always use them to start a fire or something. As the thought fire hit his brain, he absently slipped his unoccupied hand into a pocket and slipped a cigarette from it's depths. Briefly patting himself down, he gave an annoyed grunt when he couldn't find a light. The Cyndaquil against his chest gazed up curiously at him and he met her look with a bored one of his own. They had a slightly staring content before Will's eyebrow raised. He pointed straight up, slightly at an angle away from him, and muttered, "Ember."
At the command a small burst of fire shot in front of his face, singing his eyebrows. He ignored it and took a deep drag of tobacco. "We're going to have to work on that," he noted to himself just before a scream rang out. Looking around the area, he noticed he was closing distance between himself and a couple of others. The real question was, should he just ignore them and walk passed or actually attempt to care? His chances of getting through any dangers were good, but he and his pokemon were still unused to each other. The boy did his best to think fast as he approached them. He took another drag and realized that since they were close to the path, he'd most likely have to deal with them less he went around them a wide arc. Yet, he had to admit. As he came closer, the more unusal features drew his interest.

Long before their actual appearance, Shizuka's Vulpix ears had detected the fast approaching sounds of them as well as Sakura's, expressed thoroughly through her prodding and meowing at Shizuka. Instinctively, Shizuka turned back on the spell that rendered her Vulpix ears and tail invisible to the human eye. By the time the approaching person and pokemon came into view, however, they were running so fast that at this rate, there would be a collision. In any situation where Shizuka might have been blessed with slow-motion so that her brain could process this dire moment, her thoughts would have gone something like this: Should she get out of the way and let this person fall? Or should she take the hit? Might there be a way for her to help this person not get hurt? Oh, and, by the way, what are those giant fluffy looking yellow things coming in behind her!? Not far behind, a large Arcanine was rushing after his trainer, barking desperately, for her to stop. She would have to make a decision soon, for there wasn't much time before the collision, and before her decision would be made for her. Such thoughts never even had the chance to surface in her head. There wasn't enough time for her to think, and in moments like this where only adrenaline got you anywhere, and where pure instinct takes over. There wasn't even enough time for Shizuka's Vulpine instincts to devise a clever way to handle this situation. Shizuka felt Sakura's claws dig into her shoulder as the cat arched her back and fluffed out her tail while letting out a yowl of alarm. Being smaller and just a bit more nimble, Sakura had just barely the time she needed to leap from Shizuka's shoulder and slip out of the way of the two, but Shizuka only had enough time to jump a few inches off the ground, and react by waving her arms in a futile attempt to defend herself. With a loud thump, the two girls collided heavily, all of Shizuka's 105 lbs blown away by the force gained in Kyuuko's speed. Is that what you'd label a very powerful Quick Attack? The ironic thought floated through her bewildered mind while the world seemed to be spinning. In that instant, she nearly lost control over her spell, and Kyuuko might have, if she were looking, seen the faint outline of six tails and two fox ears on Shizuka's head before they transmitted all of the light of the sun.

As clear as it was that the golden gijinka hadn't listened to any of the warning about her very clear head-on collision she was was coming into. Her nose had actually made her slightly open an eye in her panic, and yet it was not at the figure in front of her. No this for a figure that was still quite a ways off. It wasn't just her who'd saw him, no, Kishin practically roared a deafening bark the very minute he had noticed the off-distance figure. Except he saw that one at the very same moment the ninetail girl did. In her panic, the bark made the girl trip right as she was upon the other girl.
Wham! That is indefinitely the sound the arcanine heard as his master slammed into the other.
Oh yes, there was definitely a collsion. Probably more painful that it would have been, as Kitsu's head had lowered enough to slam into what felt like the bottom of a rib cage. Yeah that was probably much more painful then it originally might've been. But that wasn't all, with the force that the girl was running with and then adding her own body weight to the equation... Yeah, Kyuuko definitely not only smashed into this person but completely took 'em off his or her feet. She didn't even know if who she slammed into was a boy or girl. Maybe it was the panic that there wasn't just one person but two who could see her 'features' as clear as day or the fact she was having an adrenaline rush from running before that drew the dizzy girl to try and get up.
She tried to brace herself with one arm while she used the other to actually get her body up; well she probably would have been able to sit up if it weren't for a familiar feeling beneath her hand. Of course she couldn't really see anything because of both her light-headedness from her earlier headbutt and then her dizzyness from the impact; so instead the golden girl decided to grab whatever if was. Fluffy, like a tail. Her tails were numb, so maybe she had grabbed her own... but it felt smaller...
Master! Her arcanine companion whined as he trotted up next to the fallen figures. It wasn't suprising that he didn't want to touch her in case of bruises or injuries but the worry was clear in his eyes. Well clear or not he tried to warn while blocking as much view as possible from the incoming figure's sight. Master, human. He barked. A moment passed before she realized what he meant and she moved to jump up and run away or even onto Kishin so he could run away. That didn't happen according to plan, as the girl's hands slipped and smack she went back down onto the original figure she had toppled over... Today just wasn't her day...

Have you ever watched a train wreck? Perhaps some other destructive happenings that may cause devastation to a landscape, totaling of a form of transportation, general chaos, or a combination there of. So long as you weren't in any direct danger it was a fascinating thing to behold. William could help but watch the approaching collision happen. And whether he liked it or not the whole sequence happened in startling clarity. The bystander tried to get away, but reacted too late an only managed to flail wildly. Only her pokemon had been quick enough to save itself. The creature pounced off its perch moments before impact. William could have sworn he heard the crash from his current spot.
However, none of it was enough to deter him from taking the path. He had continued walking all throughout the event, curious despite himself. Even his Cyndaquil couldn't peel her eyes away. He took another drag and mutter to his starter. "Weird." As he drew near to the heap of tangled limps, the bile fascination wore off and he found himself taking in things he'd previously missed or disregarded. The young man managed to get a good look at the golden trails that led from one girl's back. For a moment, he even noted a hazy image of red before he blinked and it disappeared. Then a bulking Arcanine blocked his view, staring him down in the process or maybe he imagined that part. Will let out an irritated huff of smoke and determined then an there that he didn't care anymore. Or he tried not to care.
"There a cosplay convention going on somewhere?" He wondered to himself. Or perhaps they were those dreadful pokemaniac people. Dressing up as pokemon and using it as an excuse to vent whatever was on their mind. William only had a couple of experiences with them, but none of them had been pleasant. A particular fellow insisted that he knew more about pokemon than most professors. All will had seen was a adolescent that spouted out the dumbest conclusions possible, forsaking common sense for devising opinions based on reading one line or sentence from an accomplished researcher. Will hoped that man go put in his place by a professional one day, brutally in from of many people.
Blandly ignoring the massive canine fire hound, he made his way closer. They were fiercely protective, but they were also intelligent. If Will showed any hostility, he was as good as mincemeat. But with the uncaring aura he carried himself with, he doubted he'd seem like much of a threat. Will was an unimpressive specimen by his own standards, especially with the green tracksuit he was wearing. It made him seem like any other skinny teenager his age. People couldn't just see the intelligence he gained through studying or the physique he'd built throughout sports. Heck, people didn't realize he was looking at them sometimes or could see properly through his red bangs. Anyway, what was he going to do about this? If they were okay, fine, but if they weren't he should probably act like a good Samaritan and offer assistance.
Will didn't feel like being pinned with anything that he wasn't responsible for either. Authority could pull out some wild conclusions even if you were just standing around when something happened. "You two okay?" he asked as he came within around a dozen feet of them. "That looked like a nasty hit." If they were injured the Arcanine, ever a loyal pokemon would probably force him to help whether he wanted to or not. And if they were dead...well, he could just nab a bit of stuff as payment for lugging their corpses to people that could provide proper disposal, or respects whatever one wanted to call it. Not like the dead needed items anyway. What would they do with it?
All the while, unnoticed to him, his Cyndaquil tensed in his jacket. She was nervous facing the behemoth like pokemon that guarded the other two. Honestly, she would have rather of fled, but her owner continued forward with a sure of self that she could only envy and admire. "Cynda, cynda, quil! (My partner just wants to help!)" The female fire mouse pokemon had only been with him for a short while, but she'd seen how he let down his guard. It confused her constantly how he could be so harsh and so empty sometimes. It was like he wanted to care for others, but he wouldn't let himself. Like he was afraid of what would happen afterward.

Not only was the world spinning a hundred or so miles per hour before her half-conscious eyes, the breath had been totally taken from her lungs, and she felt as if she couldn't breath and the world was in slow-motion as well, while the thoughts that should have spurred her mind to action in order to avoid all this were now flying through her head, propelled by the adrenaline that enabled her to think some-what clearly during those long few seconds that seemed like minutes in the aftereffects of the collision. During the moment of collision, Shizuka had felt what seemed to be a head blast the air from her lungs, and even though she had been taken completely off her feet, she could, through the blur of her vision, tell that she had landed with the other girl on top of her, only guessing the gender due to the flashes of white flowery clothing she saw before the impact. As her vision was slowly clearing, Shizuka herself just sitting there with a blank face, she flinched and almost squeaked in surprise feeling a hand grab at one of her tails. What should she do? If the other girl was just as dazed from the collision as she, maybe she hadn't really noticed, or maybe she wouldn't be able to tell it was a tail since Shizuka's invisibility spell was on by then, but if she waited to long, might the girl figure out that what she was grabbing was the tail of a Vulpix Gijinka? But if she moved, the girl would know for sure that it wasn't one of her pieces of flowery clothing, or maybe one of those golden things that seemed to trail out from the back of her clothing. Unluckily for her, the adrenaline had started to wear off by this time, and the speed of the world and her thoughts was returning back to normal. With her head slowly clearing, she could now understand a bit of what the Arcanine was saying, but she was still too dizzy and stunned to move yet. A moment passed, and Shizuka began to seriously consider trying to move away, when the girl moved to jump up. Shizuka immediately began to scoot away, when the girl slipped and fell back on top of her, and she was shoved down with a small grunt. She heard Sakura hissing, which she could understand was probably at the site of a giant fiery dog. Indeed, the small kitten was standing with her back arched, her fur on edge, and her tiny jaws parted in a vicious hiss. She wanted to run in the other direction from this beast, but she couldn't really leave Shizuka, and she didn't want to be alone among other wild pokemon. Having been raised from egghood in captivity, she only knew the life of safety in a professor's lab, not the life or death survival game she would have experienced as a wild pokemon, so she knew better than to leave Shizuka's side. Besides, another great benefit of having a Gijinka as a trainer was that Shizuka could protect her from wild, dangerous pokemon. But now with her trainer having been brutally attacked by another person, whom Sakura suspected might be a Gijinka as well, not knowing how rare Gijinka were, she felt more vulnerable than ever, and did not know what to do other than to try to seem as tough as she could, by arching her back as high as she could while standing on the tips of her toes, and fluff out her fur. Not only that, but another human was coming. What should she do now!? Would the person try to hurt Shizuka in her vulnerability? Sakura was a proud pokemon, but she knew that she was probably no match for any of these people and pokemon. Well, looking closer, she might stand a good chance against that Cyndaquil the new human had. It looked almost as young as herself. Maybe the least she could try to do to convince the other trainer to leave them alone would be to give him a good scratch to worry about. Sakura turned her attention to this new person, still hissing and arching her back. It looked like the new guy was more concerned with the Arcanine. Although she herself didn't want to have to deal with the Arcanine, she couldn't stand that the new guy had hardly taken concern of her. "Meoooow~!(Stay away from Shizuka, or I, Sakura, will let you feel my mighty claws!)" She threatened with a growl, her needle sharp claws unsheathing and digging into the ground. Hearing the Cyndaquil's desperate cry, she stopped hissing, but still kept her back arched. "Mm...meoow? Rrrrr... (How can I trust you? You might just be saying what he told you to!" She growled back. Shizuka's vision had finally cleared, and she tried to sit up, even with the other girl still on top of her, only managing to sit up enough that she could prop herself up with her hands. "A-are you okay?" She asked hesitantly to the girl. Hearing a new guy's voice, she flinched and looked over in his direction, only to see a giant Arcanine blocking the way. She still did wonder about the streams of gold trailing from the girl's back, and the same sort of things on her head. No way...she couldn't possibly be...!? Shizuka shook her head and blinked, but the more she looked, the more it only became clearer. The fur, and the life that seemed to be of these features. Shizuka didn't say anything, wondering if the girl was going to do something about the fact that something like that was showing, or confirm Shizuka's guess.

Well it was definitely a fact now, the girl beneath the ninetail gijinka was unmistakably not the comfiest thing to land on not only once but twice. The poor girls head felt so bruised she that even she was amazed her brain hadn't come out her ears. Well it was her fault for landing on the other poor creature; especially with how quickly she ran, it was practically a tackle. Well it could have been if the gijinka even knew tackle. Thankfully she didn't or else things might have turned very, very...very bad. Now, to move away from the more painful thoughts Kyuuko returned her attention to just being able to get up. She didn't want to have to slip and smack back into the other who was undeniable a girl.
She let another moment pass, trying to regain the feeling in her head so that she could actually think... Well the moment didn't really pass when the girl heard a voice. The body she laid on didn't vibrate with sound so that could only mean... Oh dear...
You two okay? Was the question the one figure she didn't really identify before had asked. Well she would've liked to answer but she caught herself right before she could. Tilting her head upward to see if she could catch a glimpse of the other stranger who was much luckier as he, sounded like a he, didn't get toppled over like the one underneath her. That looked like a nasty hit. He had continued and Kyuuko did indeed have to agree, it not only looked painful but it definitely felt painful. Oh how she wanted to just whimper... but she had to contain herself; after all she had just let two strangers see her tails and if they had quick eyes they could probably see her ears... Well the one underneath her would most likely have seen her ears already anyway but there was still a possiblity that they thought the nine golden streams and the matching pair of golden triangles were fake. Many had before so maybe it was the same this time as well. Carefully she made it to look like her tails were limp and useless, like the fake tails those poke'maniacs wore. Her ears straightened and didn't move an inch after that.
Her attention was drawn away to Kishin who was now growling at the human male stranger. The boy had gotten far to close for the overly-protective canine's comfort. It was very evident when the hound came closer to the human, as non-threatening as he looked, with the his fangs glistening in the sunlight. Kishin was not going to allow this male any closer to his master... Didn't matter if he was human or whatever now, now the arcanine was just being overly protective against a 'rival-threat'... In fact the arcanine had even ignored the meowth's presense as a whole and even the cyndaquils until the fire mouse spoke.
My partner just wants to help! That was what both the gijinka and the fire-dog heard. To any normal person it would've just been a pokemon saying its name.
Then there was the second pokemon. Niether Kishin nor Kyuuko had heard what the cat-pokemon had said before-hand but now this time the canine was listening; the gijinka not so much...
How can I trust you? You might just be saying what he told you to! The meowth had hissed and this time Kishin was going to back the little cat. He let his own voice come out in a very threatening growl, at least it was suppose to sound threatening, I do not know you which make you a threat. Stay away or pay. Of course the human wouldn't understand him but he should understand the growls and beared fangs, at least he hoped he would. Kyuuko wasn't one for violence so he tried to keep his violent acts to a very bare minimum.
Meanwhile back to the gijinka, Kyuuko had stopped listening to the hissing and the growling almost as soon as it started. Her head was finally clearing and she just wanted to get off the poor girl who she was still laying on. Then the girl had asked her something, A-are you okay? Her ears perked at the question out of pure habit... What a very bad habit... As that should've given her away at that very instant. Oh where was her hat when she needed it..? Back at the entrance to Yami's Forest that where. Right where she left it... Oh what an unfortunate little soul she was. But she still tried to keep up the act if only to fool the other soul.
Well might as well answer, Y-yeah... I think so... That wasn't very convincing but the ninetail girl managed to roll herself off the girl. That wasn't a very comfortable action but at least she was off now. Are you alright? Kitsune managed to ask when she managed to push herself into a sitting position, one hand was still on the ground to keep her balanced. Your not hurt too bad are you? Oh it would be terrible if she had managed to damage the girl's body from the collision... And for now she would leave the human to Kishin, as she didn't think she could run at the moment; her legs were feeling very numb at the moment.

Will glanced at the sky to assess the time. The sun was still high and bright though so these two, correction three, roadblocks that were between him and the path were not wasting as much time as he felt they were. Barely any time had passed if what his eyes were telling him were true. The sun was seemingly in the same spot it had been in previously when he had started his trek. This did nothing to abate his frustration though. They were taking their sweet time in moving out of his way. Will finally noticed how tense Sati was in his jacket though. Normal considering that the Arcanine had her outclassed completely. Even if he battled it with a type advantage, the breeder would still find his chances of victory minimal at best.
The need to take in his surroundings more carefully brought his attention to the Meowth that was edging near. With the the fire hound that towered over it and taking the primary concern in threat level, Will might have missed the cat. The creature wasn't trying to remain unnoticed though. It tried to appear as threatening as possible and Will could only flick another build up of ash from his cig as a response. "You're kidding me right?" For all the show it wanted to put on with those claws, Will didn't doubt a preemptive kick and following stomp would put it down. Idly, he mused that a good baseball bat would be helpful in the future. Some distance while he bashed in the creatures skull would be more practical.
He did have a utility knife in his pocket, but that would have to be a last resort. Not like he was one of those survival heroes on the nature channel anyway. Front grip, back grip, or throwing the damn knife might serve as much use equally. Chances are he'd miss a vital mark with each option. Well, if he held on to the weapon, the teen would have the chance to stab at least. Whether or not it would cost him his arm was the question in that scenario. A baseball bat was growing ever more appealing. His other hand slid to take a firm grasp of what could open a bladed edge nonetheless. Stupid? Maybe. Comforting? Most definitely even if false bravo. Not like he'd use it unless they struck first.
Growing annoyed with with the situation he crushed his cigarette and flicked it aside. His feet set themselves for movement, but he stayed where he was. Sati must have sensed his thoughts because she also started to grow warmer, unhesitating in the idea to jump out for the first strike. She pratically snarled at the insinuation that her partner would cause harm needlessly. "CYNDA- (I'LL ROAST Y-)" but was stayed by Will's hand on her head. He didn't know how he knew, but the rest of that sounded much more aggressive than what he'd be considered safe. The fire mouse went silent, but Will's lack of tolerance was starting to rub off on her it seemed.
Should he straight up tell them that he'd do his best to kill these things if they attacked? No, of course not. People didn't like that even if it was the truth. He almost tried another peace offering, but trailed off finally deciding in his mind "You know what, fuck it." He glared at the Arcanine, expecting it to register what he was going to say. "None of us have time for this," he muttered mostly to himself. Concussion, crack ribs, or maybe a headache at worse. Patch them up, leave. But he wasn't allowing himself to be browbeaten a mutt and a housecat.
Will then swiftly moved passed both of them. The cat would have to pounce and it was already on Sati's 'barbeque' list by the looks of it. If the Arcanine moved in for a fire attack, he should be able to either move out of range or go for a more ballsy maneuver and shove his fist down it's throat. The gag reflex would stall it. Will knew it would work from all his studies. He kept the canine in the corner of his eye, but focused on the two on the ground. Like he'd seen previously there was plenty of gold trails. If Will's eyes were still working, they looked very close to real. Then it hit him. "Gijinka. No wonder the pokemon are so angsty."
Gijinka were touchy people. Like a new pokemon people knew nothing of, they were feared before accepted. Some knew they were different and accepted it while others hid. All types of variety existed within their subclass. In other words, they were just people with an excuse to have issues. Some thought they were even superior to average people. Those annoyed him the most. For all the nonsense they went on about not being human they sure acted like a lot of stuck up pricks they hated the most. He knelt and spoke politely and gently. Normals insisted on treating them like pokemon so some took on the more skittish traits of them.
Will sighed and held up a finger. "Follow with just your eyes, don't turn your head." Will's voice came out a bit gravely since he didn't use it much and it was seeing a bit of strain now. Yet, the tone held nothing but a polite professionalism similar to that of a doctor. The breeder slowly moved it in few patterns while watching her eyes. Then he held up three fingers. "Now, how many fingers am I holding up?" Hopefully, if he ignored their traits they wouldn't bring them (up or worse bitch to him about how unfair it was). Because frankly, he really didn't want to hear it and he didn't care. Still, good samaritans helped people and they wouldn't be able to fault him for not trying. If it could get him out of being burned and diced, only a less shitty day could follow. "And you on the ground, try not to move too much either."

"So i'm tired of all the pain" 'Of the misery inside' "And I wish that I could live" Feeling nothing but the night Another amazing table from Leap ;D This situation surely must have looked just as awkward as it felt, and neither was it very comfortable, especially after having been landed on not once but twice for that matter. Indeed, it had felt like she had been hit with a very powerful quick attack, and then again by a tackle. It was lucky for her that the other girl hadn't intended to use those attacks, or she would have probably been KO'ed by the first hit. She wondered that if she had an HP bar, it would say she was in the yellow. Even if this wasn't an official attack, she felt like maybe one more hit might actually be enough to knock her out, and give away her secret, for she couldn't possibly hold the genjutsu while unconscious. Still, she waited patiently, taking advantage of the stretching moments to try and recover her alertness of mind, so that when the girl on top of her tried a second time to get up off her, she might be able to succeed in getting out from under her before possibly getting fallen on a third time. Well, the 'falling on' part could be categorized as a Body Slam, or maybe just a Slam, but she didn't feel paralyzed, so she guessed it more likely to be like a Slam attack, and all the more knew she didn't want to experience another one. She hadn't been in her right senses to hear, much less comprehend when a very male voice asked "You two okay?" but she had picked up on the next thing from this third person. "That looked like a nasty hit." The voice remarked, and Shizuka was even more glad that she had managed to control the genjutsu in time. But what about the girl on top of her? She wondered if he could tell that this girl was none other than a Gijinka, and with the pointed golden ears and nine golden trails, unmistakably a Ninetails Gijinka. At this rate, the situation had a chance of going downhill very fast. But if this third person did decided to do something rash, she had already decided upon herself that she would defend the Ninetails Gijinka for the sake of all Gijinka. Noticing the Ninetails Gijinka girl then render her tails limp and her ears immobile, Shizuka understood, and pretended she hadn't noticed, out of modesty for the other Gijinka, pretended she couldn't tell. She tilted her head a little in an attempt to see who it was that had spoken, but her view was blocked by an arcanine. From the arcanine's stance, and the growls coming from it, she could understand that the arcanine was protecting them, well, more specifically, its trainer. She heard clearly the conversation between the arcanine, Sakura, and another pokemon with a high-pitched voice, a cyndaquil, most likely the new guy's pokemon. Sakura knew it was folly to get on the arcanine's bad side, but her pride wouldn't let her remain quiet. Trying her hardest to look somewhat of an imitation of the arcanine's fierceness, she growled loudly. "Oooowwth!(Yeah! Stay away or pay)" She hissed, and her claws gleamed in the light for effect as she arched her back and fluffed out her fur menacingly. Shizuka pretended she hadn't noticed the Ninetails Gijinka girl habitually perk her ears at her question, but she kept her gaze steady as she answered. "I think I'll be alright." she managed to give an answer. After the other girl rolled off her, Shizuka sat up slowly, and propped herself up to keep herself stable with her hands on the ground. Well, it was a relief at least that no one was seriously hurt. She couldn't scoot away like she had planned, because now that she could feel her legs, she could feel that they were too numb to be of much use yet. She didn't know either of the silent threats the male human was making either with his actions. She heard from the cyndaquil a vicious snarl, "CYNDA- (I'LL ROAST Y-)" but the pokemon was interrupted by something, probably her trainer. Who was that thread directed toward? She then heard the male human mutter sourly. "None of us have time for this," Well, I'm not in a hurry, but.. she wanted to object, but kept it to a thought level. She then saw the human, moving to pass both of the pokemon. Sakura yowled threateningly, and began to move to pounce at the human's feet. "Meooow-(Are you listening to m-)" She growled in a high pitched voice, but was stayed by Shizuka's own interruption. "Sakura, it's alright." It wasn't alright, for the male human's next words made her freeze with dread. "Gijinka. No wonder the pokemon are so angsty." He knew! Shizuka tried to remain calm, for even though the human had figured it out, he still fully intended to try to help, and his tone was polite and gentle. Nodding submissively, not knowing what else to do, Shizuka could only trust that for now, he meant no harm, and did as he said, only able to agree that for now, she didn't feel like moving much. Besides, if he did intend harm, she was pretty confident in herself that she would be able to protect herself.
