[ CLOTHING STYLE ]
To put it mildly, Lyra's clothing style - in comparison to the clothes we, as humans in the modern world wear - is a little weird. Even when comparing it to the clothing style of other trainers like herself it can seem a little odd to be wearing such garments as her's. I mean, who goes around wearing a mushroom hat, short overalls and long sleeved shirts, and looking like some sort of Mario wannabe with a twist? This female likes the way she dress just fine, however, and it doesn't look like she'll be replacing them any time soon. Well, not until they grow to small for her to wear, that is. So what clothing does she wear, you might wonder? First thing you're going to notice when you look at her is her hat. Dude, where can I get one of these? Seriously? 'Cause, to be quite honest, I'd be super excited about half as awesome as that. Plain white in color, is what it is, the only exception being a large, crimson colored ribbon that somehow manages to wrap around the visor and the back. A large bow is tied on the right side of her head out of this red ribbon, as well. So, what makes it so cool looking? Well... it's poofy. Like, really poofy. "It-looks-like-a-mushroom" poofy. And, let me tell you, unless it was a cosplay of this character, I haven't seen a hat that comes remotely close to looking like this master piece. But, you might still be wondering, does she wear other then her hat? Surely, she doesn't run around nude. That's be gross. Nah, Lyra wears a somewhat loose fitting red shirt with sleeves that reach a few inches past her elbow and has a noticeable white hood hanging off the back of her neck. The shirt's collar is pretty low, however, so, in order to cover some specific areas, a black tank top is worn underneath. Thrown over her scarlet colored shirt is a pair of peculiar denim overalls. And what's so peculiar about them? Well, one, they're the length of shorts instead of pants and two very large and unnecessary buttons are placed above one another on the center of the front. Footwear consists of black and white stockings that reach up to her mid thigh and red and white flats on her feet. A tan-colored bag is almost always seen hanging off her right shoulder, with her duel-colored pokegear hanging off of that. Like many anime characters, she's one of those people who seems to wear one outfit every day of every year and falls into your average playable character category for regular style.[ PHYSICAL STATURE ]
Moving away from all of the clothing and whatnot, we get a look at the more important traits. Traits such as her height. In comparison to people her age, Lyra's not really anything spectacular; she's only five foot, eight inches tall which is pretty normal, I'd say. She's never been to particularly tall or short, in all honesty, though, in when she was younger, she was the first of her group of friends to hit a growth spurt and temporarily got the chance to look down on others her age. To bad it was so short lived. To say that Lyra's really skinny would be a lie. Sure, she looked all skin and bones when she was younger, but eating a little to many sweets over the years has caused her to loose this factor. She's not particularly chubby, either - just somewhere between the two. You can grab a bit of flab when you pinch her skin in quite a few places, if you really wanted to. She sees herself with more unwanted fat then she really has, however, and is always complaining about her weight gain. She never does anything to fix it, though. One hundred and forty-two pounds this girl is. As for muscle, she's got absolutely zilch. I mean, seriously - you'd think this girl'd never worked out a day in her life. You wouldn't be to far off with that accusation, sadly. She was never any good at sports at a young age, so she never really had any particular exercise she could get into. Maybe, if she really wanted to, she could achieve more muscle, though I don't think that's all that likely. She has a high metabolism, as well, though it's gotten worse as the years go one. She eats a crud ton of junk food and sweets and eats just because she needs something to chew on. Food labels? Bah, she doesn't even acknowledge their existence. Therefor, she has her metabolism to thank for not being to overweight.
Next, we find that this childish female has some pretty long, skinny fingers. Spider-fingers, she calls them. In comparison to other's, it's almost a little creepy how long her's are. She could have been a great pianist, has she wanted to. But, no. Instead, she had to choose singing which - I'll be completely honest - she's terrible at. But I'm getting off topic. Let's go back to physical stature, shall we? Being generally girly, you'd think her nails would be uniform and clean. Well, you'd be mistaken. Those nails have been chewed down to stubs, as she has grown into a terrible habit of biting them until there's nothing left to bite without withstanding self injury. Though she probably had the option to wear rings on those long fingers of her's, jewelry is not something she's particularly fond of, so you'll find her hands clear of them. A watch isn't really necessary, guessing as she's got her pokegear strapped to her pack that rarely leaves her side when she's out. She wears such garments on occasion, however, since people keep gifting them to her for special occasions and she finds it only polite to wear them at least once. Much like her fingers, Lyra has some pretty lengthy legs. Again, she'd probably be somewhat decent of a runner, but it didn't seem to quite appeal to her. As for shoe size, those red flats I was talking about earlier are a size nine, though she can wear anything between an eight and a ten, depending on the shoe.
From days after days of being outside as a child - since she was one to play adventure games in the outdoors instead of staying cooped up inside and her work at the Pokemon Day Care - this brunette has grown pretty tan, I'd say. Well, not really tan. She's not tan enough for people to take much notice to her skin, but she's not super pale, either - a happy medium, I'd say. It's a little hard to explain her accent; I guess you'd just consider it the typical accent you'd find in the Johto regions, which may be a bit different from that of the Lyeant region. Her voice is high and she can easily sing soprano, as well. She speaks a tad bit like a child though, so she sounds a little younger then she truly is.[ HAIR & EYES ]
Locks of chocolate brown hair fall gracefully upon this young lass's face, curling every so lightly on their way from her scalp. Glowing a beautiful brown in the sun's brilliant glow - okay, enough of that. If I keep writing like that for the rest of this app, I'm going to be sick. Or get ridiculously bored and give up five minutes in. Hey, cut me a break! I'm easily distracted. Anywho, what were we talking about again? Oh, yes, that's right. This fancy ol' trainer's hair and eyes. Yes, Lyra has hair the color of the finest, richest chocolate you'll ever find. For some a clumsy, non attractive girl, this is one of her only qualities that she could actually take any pride in. It glows a faint golden color in broad daylight, as well. When she was younger, she always had her hair cut short - no longer then shoulder length - and always let it fall straight down her head. However, now adays, this perky female has is tied up in her two signature pigtails, the only part not tied up being the bangs that frame her face every naturally. And why are these pig tails so unique, you might ask? Well, the fact that they're as anti-gravitational as the playable character she replaced in the Gold and Silver remakes! Curling upward in a fashion that you'd think wouldn't be possible in real life, her hair is as odd as her hat. Her hair does this naturally; she's gain quite a few curls throughout her years and her hair's a jungle needing to be tamed every morning. She'll always wear it like this, no matter what, the only exceptions being formal outings or when she goes to bed. That's really all she has for a hare-care routine, really. Since she's still young, her hair is still full and vibrant in color and, due to having a family with long-living hair, it's likely to stay this way long into her lifespan.
As for bone structure in the the face, this spunky trainer has a fairly sharp chin when you compare it to your averagebearteenager her age. Her nose is petite, as well, though neither of these features are all that noticeable, to be entirely honest. Being the teenager she is, she also sometimes gets those annoying little hairs that grow on her upper lip. She finds these ridiculously unappealing, however, and is constantly shaving to make sure her skin is as smooth as it possibly can be. And, really, it is pretty darn smooth. But that's not the point.Two are placed on her face in the form of eyes, bright and full of life. And what color are these wonderful eyes you might ask yourself? Well, that's why I'm here, isn't it? To tell you all the important details of this certain character's appearance? Those eyes, by dear friend, are the same, beautiful shade of brown as her hair - the color of tasty milk chocolate. Another feature of her's that she can take pride in, honestly. Compliments are thrown her way about them on occasion, but none are really taken to heart. After all, her childish attitude kind of prevents her from stuff like that. Moving along, the eyelashes above those two eyes of her's are moderately thick and dark in color. Not exactly something people tend to stare at, thoughexcept for all you stalkers out there. Thin, dark colored eyes brows that are always raised in utter joy can before if your track of site shifts upward and slight dimples can also be found on her face. Though she rarely gets embarrassed, mainly since she's pretty oblivious, if she were, her face would flush a bright red; this is the only sort of redness or discoloring you'd find in her skin. Her teeth are very well cared for, bright and pearly, aligned almost perfectly due to the braces she just had to have as a young girl, and with little to no cavities in her history. Really, there's not much else to say. Her neck and ears are all average in size and length while her lips are full, tinted ever so slightly a rosy pink.[ OTHER ]
When she was young, the outdoors would seem to beckon her into it's welcoming arms. Being particularly adventurous and taking play time of video games any day, it was no wonder why she ran outside in the sun all day instead of staying cooped up indoors. Naturally, freckles began to litter her skin, making her look even less appealing then usual. However, as the years passed, her nasty looking freckles all but vanished into thin air. If you squint your eyes and tilt your head to a forty-five degree angle, maybe you'll catch site of one or two, but that's all you're getting out of this girl. There are no special birthmarks to be found on her body, though she has a giant mole on the back of her left shin. You can't see it very often, since it's almost always covered by her black and white stockings, but, if you asked ever so nicely, she'll probably show it to you. Not a tattoo has ever been on her skin, unless those remove able ones for her childhood count in the slightest.

PERSONALITY;;
Being an owner of a Poke' Dex and sharing a special bond with that of a Pokemon must make one think that there is no possible way that this human from the region of Jhoto would be working for the likes of the wicked Team Imum in there attempt to cleanse the world of mankind. And that very statements are right on the money for numerous reasons. And, perhaps reading about her personality will show you why; so, without further ado, shall I begin? Many a word can describe a female much like Lyra Castiel, but only one word in particular can sum her up better then the rude word clueless: adventurous. A complete stranger could tell that. But, then again, aren't most Pokemon lovers? As a young child, Lyra moved around quite a bit and was given the opportunity to visit so many new places. These experiences left her longing to explore the entire world in which she lived in, no matter how long it would take. Whether it be a Pokemon battle, bad weather, or some other obstacle, she's determined to face it head on in pursuit of her goal. And, wherever there's new places to explore, there's a new adventure just waiting to unfold. Therefor, whenever there's a commotion or a seemingly undo-able feet at hand, you'll find her not far from the action. Optimistic as one could ever get, you'd think that this girl was walking on sunshine twenty-four seven. With a seemingly never fading smile and a willingness to twist the worst possible situations into happy ones, it could almost make someone sick. Even in the most depressing of times, it seems like she can stay as perky and happy as ever. Kind of makes others think what's really going on inside that head of her's. For all anyone knows, she probably fantasizes about unicorns and fairies and rainbows... Or, at least, whatever the Pokemon World's equivalent is of listed objects. Moving along, how can one be so optimistic and running hot on the trail of adventure without a bit of energy? Oh, yes, saying she's energetic is almost that of an understatement for this one, as, even though she practically collapses after five minutes of actual exercise, you'd swear she runs after people and Pokemon like a dog chasing a cat without any sign of her energy draining until she accomplishes her goal or gives up. Even with little night's sleep, she practically jumps off the walls, her boundless energy seemingly overflowing. It makes the tired and those with lack of energy pretty jealous, I'm sure; I couldn't blame them one bit. Imaginative. Remember that world of rainbows and unicorns and fairies? Yeah, guess where it all comes from? No doubt, with an imagination gone out of control, one wouldn't believe the crazy things she comes up with in the depths of her mind. Some say that we'd be nothing without our imagination, and, surely, she's got enough to go around to the people who don't have enough... and then some. Day dreams? A daily occurrence. She'll be sitting around somewhere and drift off into a world of half reality. Therefor, if you see her in such a manner, don't be to alarmed - it's a natural occurrence. And, lastly, we find the very obvious statement that she is, in fact, very cheerful. As if you couldn't tell - bursting with energy and optimistic as someone who won the lottery... It'd be hard not to be cheerful.
Oh, what, you thought that was it? Almost seven hundred words right there would surely be enough to sum up one person's personality. Well, since I obviously managed with fifty words in my early RPing days, I'm sure it is. But we're only one fourth of the way into this long, long application. The sixth positive trait that miss Lyra has is her affectionate personality. Those who distance themselves from those around them? Those who enjoy solitude? Heck, she's almost as far from it as one can get. If she was a Meowth, or something, she'd be rubbing up against your arm every waking minute of every day. Well, almost. She doesn't waist anytime letting the people she likes know that she enjoys their company and enjoys 'snuggling', so to speak, with those she's quite fond of. So, yes, you could almost compare her to the human form of an all to clingy cat. Moving along, we find she's actually somewhat reliable. If you ask this brunette to do something for you, no matter how long it takes, she'll persevere and stick it out until the task is complete. Even if it means staying up all night, skipping meals, and shoving everything aside, she'll usually make time to help out a friend if they're ever in any need of assistance. She'll get the job done, I'll tell you, and she'll do it to the best of her abilities. This doesn't always mean that it'll be the best outcome you'll ever find, but she'll get it done, and that's all that really matters... right? Therefor, if you've got a special job that needs to be done and you've no one to turn to, this is the girl for you. Oh, now what is this? Creative? Bah, who would have thought of such a far fetched thing? Being one who greatly enjoys music (wow, her name is a latin word for a musical instrument and she likes music... I just realized that...) and one to make up random songs on her fancy little flute of her's, one would have to be creative in order to pull that kind of stuff up. But her creativity extends farther from simple musical instruments and poor singing. Even in Pokemon battles, she uses this gift to concoct all sorts of crazy battle styles to throw her opponents off guard. Well, when battles were allowed she did, anyways. Now this trait only extends as far as her musical interests, seeing as she's to afraid of a beating to actually challenge the laws and train and battle in secret. Said, really, not being able to show off her skills. Anywho, carrying right along, we find that she is also a very trusting person. Now, though I have set this in the positive traits, this also can be considered a negative trait for reasons yet to be explained. She can put her full faith in almost anyone, believing in them with little to no hesitation. A friend asking her to jump off a cliff? Imagining they'll have some secret plan to catch her, she'll throw herself right off the edge. Someone telling her to give her Pokemon away? With full faith that they'll be returned to her safely, she'll hand them right over if the person ordering her to do so is a friend of her's. But this will also leave her at a bit of a disadvantage. Being so trusting to almost everything that moves and breathes leaves her quite... gullible. Someone meaning to do her harm can easily manipulate her into doing whatever they please. What if it wasn't a friend telling her to jump off or give them away? She'd either be left without Pokemon... or dead. And she'd honestly have no clue whatsoever. So, yes, there you are. Good and bad, all bundled into one. And, for her last good trait, we find that she is very forgiving. Asked to give away her Pokemon and loose them forever? Hard as it may be, she'll probably forgive the person who deceived her. Asked to jump off that cliff? Her ghost will probably come back to forgive her murderer. Never one to hold a grudge, this innocent female could never be mad at someone for over a month or two. She has even forgiven the Rockets that almost beat her best friend to death, despite their cruelty. She can blame herself for something for years, however - just because she can forgive another doesn't mean she can't feel guilty herself.
Onto the second half of this here personality! Lyra, though she doesn't really try to ends up being what one would call... silly. Because of her cluelessness, she never knows when someone is pulling her leg or not and tends to mix up the two, resulting in her taking few things (with the exception of straight out requests, as said above) seriously. This can be found as a negative trait because she never knows when to take things as a joke or not. This also frequently annoys those who are on the more serious side of the scale and can result in a fist in her face. Ouch. Do you know those people who are graceful? Stealthy? Can jump from tall heights and land gently on their feet with little to no sound? Well, that's not her... Far from it! Clumsy as someone who has people holding out their leg specifically to trip someone their picking on, you'd swear she trips on her own to feet. Runs into walls. Falls backwards when sitting on chairs. Not a single inch of gracefulness to be found with this brown haired wonder of a female. Stealth? Bah, she doesn't come within thirty miles of the thing. No wonder she's not a member of Team Imum; had she, she'd be booted out before you could say 'flabbergasted'. Oh, the art of being oblivious... And no one does it better then this air head of a trainer. If you think you know someone who's oblivious, you haven't met Lyra yet. Much like some of our protagonists from the anime and/or manga, this female is clueless when it comes to romance in the like. If someone has feelings for her, another person, or she has a crush on someone, she'd never have a clue until someone comes right out and says that four letter 'l' word. Even then, she might not exactly get it, pushing it off as, "Like a brother/sister, right? ". Sarcasm? Heck, if you could waist it on one person it'd be her. She wouldn't know sarcasm if it ran up, danced, sang for her, and slapped her multiple times in the face with a Magicarp. And when someone has a distaste for her or is threatening her personally, it'll fly right by her. Viewing everyone as a friend, even the strangers, she is completely unaware of the angry and hateful. Which usually makes them that much more angry and hateful. And the cycle continues! Trapped in the middle of a never ending circle of irritation and anger. What's a poor girl to do in times like those? Be more unaware of what's going on! However, when one insults or threatens her friends, it seems like her oblivious nature grows wings and flies aware, sending her on full alert. If it's one thing she can't stand, it's people hurting - or threatening to hurt - her friends. I have a tendency to never know what to choose. Once I think I've made up my mind, another option always seems to run up and makes its way into my mind, giving me second thoughts on my opinion. In this matter, she and myself are very much alike. Never knowing which path to take in life, her indecisiveness is just another aggravating characteristic about the girl. Debating for her is a pain, as she never knows which side to pick and, once she thinks she's chosen a side, she contradicts herself and throws herself into a whole knew mess of confusion and choosing of sides. She typically has others choose for her, for this very reason, as it'd take a week of reasoning for her to finally make up her mind without changing it within the next thirty seconds. And, lastly for this paragraph, we find a very, very sloppy trait. With junk piled high and a bad full of usless objects mixed in with ever so necessary items, it's a wonder how she can find anything. Disorganized. Messy. Slob. All these can be used to describe this corner of the trainer's personality. If her head weren't attached, she'd probably lose it (after using it as a bolling ball first, of course. I mean, who could resist?).
Okay, guys! We're almost done! Just one more paragraph, and we can get one with out lives! You ready? 'Cause I'm moving on to the last quarter of this personality and it's going to rock. And I mean it! It's gonna kick every other last quarter of a personality's butt! So... Let's get on with it, shall we? Rebellion. Rebellion. You remember when you were that young kid, always wanting to do you you wanted to do? No one else's opinion mattered when it came to the things you did and, whenever anyone else decided to stick their nose in your business and try to order you around, you'd tilt your head back, stomp your feet, pout, and rebel. Well, that's one of the things like little miss Lyra does best. Rebe. Never one to do what she's told when she doesn't want to, she's one of those people who will do the exact opposite of what she's told just because she can. It ticks everyone else off, sure, but does she care? Ha! No way! As long as she gets things her way, she'll be absolutely fine. Well... almost. You see, she's also a bit of a goody two-shoes, going along with her all to childish personality, meaning that, even though she's a rebel at heart, she'll do what other people say on occasions. It's more of a fifty-fifty kind of deal, you could say. But, enough with that. Let's move on! Number seventeen! Dependent! Okay, you know what I was just talking about? The whole, "sometimes rebellious, sometimes not"? Well, there's another reason to that. This brunette is very dependent on others. She isn't all that great at training Pokemon, is a complete and utter clutz and would likely fall off the side of a cliff without realizing it if someone weren't there to catch her, and she's so oblivious, she wouldn't notice that she's been kidnapped until someone comes right out and says it. That means that the people around her are forced to constantly look after her, otherwise she'd get lost, hurt, or some magical combination of the two twenty-four seven. Again, it's a pain, but someone has to do it. She can't so much by herself, either. Cooking? Ha! Don't even get me started on cooking. Anything dealing with education? She's not to bright and being book smart is no exception. If she wanted to take on the Pokemon league, she'd probably need a partner to do double battles with. She'd have no chance of winning her own matches by herself, sadly. Next, we find that she's not one to take credit for her wrong doings. Oh, sure, if she's done something good, she'll just right in and let the world know that she did it and not anyone else. However, when it comes to the things that'll get her into trouble... Always putting the blame on someone else comes down to an art with this oblivious trainer. Though she can't lie to save her life in other situations, you'd think she's never done anything wrong in her life, the way she manages to convince people she had nothing to do with messes she's gotten herself into. You'd better steer clear of her when she's done something to upset another person, since that index finger'll probably be flying in your direction next and you'll receive an earful for something you haven't even done. Sorry. Better luck next time. I could probably dwell on that trait a little longer, but I suggest we move on so we can hurry and finish this app. Am I right? I am? Great! So, now, you're probably wondering... what comes next? I think there are two extremes when it comes to being aggressive and passive. Those who will do anything and everything, even if they have to hurt others in their way to obtain what they want. Those who are always up for a fight. Those who go around beating up random people very simply because... well, they can! And then there are those who will sit idly on the side lines, following the crowd so they don't get hurt. People who'd rather take punches then throw them back. People who demand that others stop the violence and strive for piece. Lyra falls into the latter. I mean, these can both be good traits - you should stand up for what you believe in, right? Violence, in most cases, isn't the right way to solve matters, right? Well, I'm throwing her passive personality into the weaknesses because, for her, it's not about promoting the peace. It's about sitting on the sidelines, watching as others risk their lives to protect their home region. And why? Why wouldn't she want to take a stand? Because she's afraid. She's a coward. Put her life on the line? Not exactly a prospect that appeals to her much. So she'll stand on the sidelines and do whatever it takes to avoid conflict. And now, for the last on our list... Lyra is, to put it simply... unintelligent. Or, for people who don't want to sound fancy... stupid. Well, maybe that's a bit harsh. You see, if there were a school that she attended, her report card would have "F"s after "F"s after "F"s after "F"s after "F"s. Maybe a "D" if she was lucky. She's oblivious, so she can't read people well. She gets lost easily, can't tell the good guys from the bad guys, can hardly survive on her own... Yeah. She's not to bright. And why would that be a good thing? Well, actually, because she's oblivious, she doesn't understand the horrors and darkness of the world around her and the impending - wait a minute. I'm talking about weaknesses, not strengths! However, she's not a complete moron. Though she can't tell someone's sad or hurting by looking at them, once she knows that someone needs cheering up, she knows exactly how to do it. And boy, she could cheer up Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street if she really wanted to. So, cheer up, Pig Tails! You're not a complete failure!

HISTORY;;
Lyra Castiel was born to a small family living near Azalea Town in the confines of the Jhoto region. Being the youngest of the family of four with only an older brother, she earned all of the benefits of the youngest child of a family. Her much older brother, who she never actually met, left on a journey at the age of ten to travel the Hoenn region for a long period of time. When she was roughly five years old, news of his death shook the loving family to its roots and left the brunette an only child. The three moved to New Bark Town only a month or so later in a futile attempt to escape the memories of their departed son. It was there that Lyra met Ethan. The friendship was immediate, as he was one of the few who didn't mind her cluelessness. While he showed interest in Pokemon battles, the girl was unsure of exactly what she wanted to do with her future.
Two years after her brother's death, the two remaining members of her family were caught in a devastating car accident and killed within a weeks time of the event. Left an orphan, in a sense, Lyra moved to the outskirts of Goldenrod to live with her grandparents who ran a Pokemon Daycare. This also meant that the girl was separated from her nearest and dearest friend, the boy she had met in New Bark Town and would remember for the rest of her life. Things were different, living in the shadow of a huge metropolis in comparison to living in likes of New Bark, but she managed to adapt to her new lifestyle easily. The Pokemon Day Care was like her dream come true, honestly. Day after day of playing with the creatures she loved the most without having to watch them hurt one another in battle. It hurt to see trainers come to take their Pocket Monsters back into their possession, but seeing new faces almost every day always brought a smile to her own. It did her good to assist her grandparents in their work, and she realized that it was this that she wanted to do for the remainder of her life.
And then Ethan came back into her life.
Roughly thirteen years of age, Lyra first heard the her long lost childhood friend would be moving into the labyrinth that called itself Goldenrod. Ecstatic upon the arrival of this news, she vowed to go visit him every day since he didn't live to far away. But the city was a dangerous place; her grandparents had never let her go there alone, and, even then, Azelia Town was the preferred place to purchase supplies. But she didn't care. She was oblivious to such dangers as the ones she would face. So, after she found his address, she walked the streets of the very populated area. It was a tad bit frightening, to say the least, but she found herself in hr friend's company without any difficulty. Over the next three or four years, the two were as close as two peas in a pod. And, for the first time in her life, Lyra thought she was in love.
But the universe has a funny way of ruining everything.
The streets of Goldenrod were dangerous, as I've said before - they always have been, always sill be. And, sure, neither teen had encountered the darker side of things, but that didn't mean it wasn't there. It was only a matter of time before tragedy struck again - and strike again, it did. Lyra had chosen this specific date to confess her feelings to her stormy-haired friend, having invited him out for dinner and a variety of other activities that fateful afternoon. It was while the two were walking down the streets that the car first came into view. The certain road they were walking along typically didn't get much traffic, but they thought little of it. After all, every road has been driven on once. But, instead of speeding away, it slowed to a pace that allowed it to follow the two unsuspecting fools. That was when they came out - four tall men, each holding a weapon of their own. The danger was made apparent and, sending out his trusty Pokemon to save them, Ethan insisted Lyra run while she could.
She'd never ran faster in her life.
Though she managed to get away - barely - she did not see, nor hear from Ethan over the next few days. Roughly four days after their outing, the awful news came to the Day Care. Ethan had been found, but not in the way she had wanted.
He was dead.
The police finally found his body dumped into the river, swept ashore with the current. It was at this moment that she truly shattered. A single tear may have been shed at the loss of her brother, she may have wept for a good half hour when her parents were caught in the car accident, but this was different. She locked herself in her room and cried for hours, losing the only person outside of family who had fully accepted her and the one person she could honestly say she'd loved. She stayed no longer then two months with her guardians and the Day Care before she could take it no longer. Taking the Maril her best friend had caught for her one birthday, she vowed to be a better trainer to protect herself and others from such catastrophes and found herself on a boat to a distant region - the Lyeant region. There, she hopes to find a way to escape her somewhat dark history and become a trainer Ethan could be proud of.

POST EXAMPLE;;
"Maybe... If I move some stuff around... I can get in..." Lorelei's petite hands felt around the rubble of the building, looking for loose pieces that she could possibly move out of the way and make an entrance out of. Her hands met an awfully wobbly rock and, feeling lucky, tried to yank it out of it's place. Though she succeeded in doing so, a land slide of other material rained down on her, almost burying her with the rest of the building. She tossed Freude's Poke' Ball away just in time to get it out of the danger zone, though it appeared there was no need. Though it looked deep, as she'd fallen backwards and it had buried her stomach, she assumed that, standing up, the mess wouldn't even make it halfway to her knees. Forcing herself upward with a groan, she dusted the dirt off her clothing and picked up her Poke' Ball with great haste.[/blockquote]
"Looks like the world just wants me to look filthy, doesn't it?" she mused somewhat bitterly, holding her Pokemon to an eye level. Turning and examining the added damage she'd done, a moan escaped her mouth. Not only had she not formed an entrance, but, whatever opening might have formed was completely ruined, blocked by a mound of garbage. "Well, as much as I loved this building in it's day, it looks like, as a Rocket, it's my duty to inflict some damage on it myself..." she glanced back at her duel-type who was gazing up at her in wonder... and worry. "I told you, Freude," she said with a smile, "There's nothing to worry about. I'm tough - simple stuff like this isn't going to hurt me... to much..."
But injuries were the least of her worries. With her slip up, she had undoubtedly attracted some unwanted attention. Just like the person who almost bumped into her.
"Kinda cool, huh?" he question, stopping himself before making a crash collision coarse... right into her. 'Thank goodness he did...' she realized, scanning the young man who'd spared them both an awkward encounter. 'I'd be buried for real if he hadn't. But I've no idea what he means by that... 'Cool'? What's so 'cool' to him...?' So, confused, all she could manage to choke out was the weak mutter of, "Erm, I suppose...?" The black haired man was familiar... She knew his name - she'd seen him around the Rocket base - but it refused to come to mind. 'Think, Lorelei, think!' she demanded herself, her expression probably showing her inner struggle to remember this person clearly. But he was already moving, taking his place on her right and examining the building... that she'd just destroyed part of.
"This place used to be so pretty, so full of life. I was a kid then..." he muttered to herself. She herself had witnessed the destruction of said building, and it had tore at her heart strings to see a beacon of hope so easily shattered. But that was hope for the rebels who thought they could overthrow the organization, and that meant it had to be crushed. The fall of Team Rocket was something she could not entirely agree with... though she couldn't entirely agree with her group's methods of going about with their lives. "So sad to see it like this," the dark haired woman agreed, resting her spidery-fingered hand on it's ruined exterior. "But I guess that's just how things are," she continued, more to herself then to the newcomer. A sigh escaped her lips and her eyes closed. Beginning to slip away into her memorize, she was snapped back to reality by the sound of his voice. "Name's Gold, and yours?"
He was certainly a member of Team Rocket - there was no doubt about that. But she'd never encountered someone that was part of the organization who acted as friendly as this. There was something different about that young man... What was someone like him doing with people like Team Rocket? "Lorelei," she said after a moment of hesitation. "My name is Lorelei. A pleasure to be in your presence." She held out her hand and dropped it to her side, allowing him just enough time to shake it before it flopped downwards. Due to the series of events, she almost forgot about her mission. Turning away from him, she asked, "I came here to see if there's any way inside. Mostly to see if there's anything left inside. As much as I hate taking the last few in tact possessions from this place, I thought it'd be a waist to leave them to rot in the rubble." Gesturing towards to mini landslide, she continued, "Unfortunately, as you can see, I think I did more harm then help." Looking questioningly at him through icy blue eyes, the female asked, "You wouldn't happen to know any entrances, would you? And, even if you don't, two pairs of hands are better then one."
Calling out her Larvitar again, biting her tongue when she almost cried out that obnoxious cry of 'I choose you', she knelt down to meet it's eyes. "Now, Freude, I want you to help me find a way in. I want you to get out of there - quick - if it starts looking bad. I'd rather I get hurt then you..." He nodded enthusiastically, happy that it's trainer wanted it's assistance, and practically skipped over towards another section of the building to do as told. Raising, she turned her attention to Gold once more. "Well, if you're going to help," Lorelei said, "Now's the time to do it."
