Gold Amble DemienPOKEMON TRAINER
THE BASICS I used to be a renegade, I used to fool around NAME;; Gold Demien NICKNAME(S);; Anything his friends wanna call him. GENDER;; Male AGE;; 17 ALLIANCE;; Good! (he hates evil) RANK;; Pokemon Trainer CANON/ORIGINAL;; Canon
THE APPEARANCE But I couldn't take the punishment, and had to settle down SHORT APPEARANCE;; Teen with black hair and gold-colored eyes. APPEARANCE;; Normally, Gold stands out from the others. Although black hair is pretty normal, his eyes are a strange goldish color that attract a lot of attention, mostly from girls. He never notices, however, as physical appearances don't really matter to him. He's all about personalities, and is well aware that any pretty girl can have a totally non-pretty personality. His pitch-black hair is seldom seen without his black and yellow hat, which is almost always turned backwards, and his new fashionable sunglasses, which he recently bought. His hair sticks out from under his hat, and usually stays that way unless it gets wet. His skin is relatively light considering that he spends almost all of his time outdoors.
He almost always wears the same set of clothes, which consist of his red jacket, black shirt, his gold and black shorts (which match his hat!), his red and black sneakers, and of course his hat. Now, don't get me wrong, he doesn't wear the exact same set of clothes each time. He has several of each clothes item, and changes them every day. Of course, he can sometimes be caught with different clothes on. Wearing the same thing gets boring sometimes, you know?
Gold's build is that of a normal active teenage boy, not being overweight but not being totally ripped. Sure, he's got a few muscles, but nothing too special. He stands about 6 foot, about the normal size, and has long legs. He needs long legs with all of the running he does, as he's always impatiently running from point A to point B. His hands aren't large, but aren't small either. From a distance, Gold either looks either seriously happy or spacey. He's almost always got a smirk or a smile on his face.
THE PERSONALITY Now I'm playing it real straight, and yes I cut my hair PERSONALITY;; Overall, Gold's spunky, outgoing, fun and cocky. He'll do anything to make someone laugh, especially if they're down in the dumps, so to say. He loves a good joke, and will mess around with someone if he knows they won't take him seriously. He can have quite an attitude, especially with someone he doesn't like, or he knows doesn't like him. He's a great friend, and will never talk behind someone's back; that is, if they don't deserve it. He can have some anger issues, especially when someone else plays with his feelings on purpose. Some cruel-hearted trainers mess with him to distract him from a battle, causing him to end up losing. He hates being taken advantage of, but doesn't take drastic measures when getting revenge. He plays fair, and beats them at a battle without using any sorts of personal issues. He loves the ladies, and will do anything to impress them, which usually results in him either embarrassing himself or failing miserably. But, he'll never give up hope! A lot of girls seem to like him (or at least so he thinks). He's a lot nicer than some guys out there, and will willingly help someone in need, even if it's some random hobo on the side of the street.
LIKES;; Running, Battling with his Pokemon, Winning, Talking (especially to girls) DISLIKES;; Anti-social/mean people, Getting lost (which he manages to do a lot) FEARS;; Deep water, Getting attacked by Pokemon, Being rejected by a girl GOALS;; To become the best trainer he can be, Become well-known with other trainers STRENGTHS;; Very optimistic, Almost always happy, Forgiving, High sense of adventure WEAKNESSES;; Easily distracted, Pretty forgetful, Gets angry easy, Pretty girls (xD) QUIRKS/HABITS;; Gambling Addiction, Hits on anything that moves (xD)
THE HISTORY You might think I'm crazy, but I don't even care FAMILY;; -Father(through adoption): Kolton Demien -Mother(through adoption): Claudia Demien -Sister (through adoption) Crystal
HISTORY;;
[ Let's Begin, Shall We? ] A man and a woman. Scratch that, the man and the woman. Albon and Kathleen. Are story begins all the way back in time, almost seventeen from the time that we stand in now. Two high schoolers, madly in love with one another. Well... not exactly. If anything, the two hardly knew each other. However, on that one fateful night, two drunk teens did some unmentionable thing *cough* What? which ended up as both a disaster and a blessing. I suppose it all depended on how you looked at it, really. Because, while some people couldn't be angrier with what happened that night, the rest of the world could cry in joy.
Because, on that night, a certain raven-haired boy's story begins.
Gold was a mistake and his mother, Kathleen, wasted no time letting him know that, even as a young child. Neglected from the moment of his birth until the woman finally grew tired of him and couldn't stand to see the boy's face any more. Even when he was younger, the golden-eyed boy knew that his mother didn't want him. Knew that the world didn't want him. And part of him always hated that woman for it. She'd done something stupid, he was his punishment, and she was supposed to deal with it whether she wanted to or not.
Of course, things don't always work out that way, do they?
No, the young mother didn't take the "nuisense's" presence kindly. Paying for the education of someone she could have honestly hated didn't really appeal to her, so the child was kept a secret and from any school he might have gone to. In fact, she grew so angry with herself and her child that it lead to verbal and, eventually physical abuse. This went on from the time the boy was about three to when he was siz, leaving the boy more bitter and resentful to the female then ever. Every day he prayed to some higher being, asking that he'd be taken away from the dreadful home and taken somewhere better. That, or his mom was run over by a bus on her way home from work. Of course, even though he'd always prefered the first option, the second seemed far more likely.
Except, much to his surprise, it wasn't for likely.
Because, on his sixth and a half birthday, his prayers came true.
[ A New Roomate ] To say that his idea of being taken away from his abusive mother was far from what he recieved was an understatement. Maybe his six and a half year old mind had concieved the idea that he'd be magically teleported into some sort of mansion like the ones he'd always see on the television he was never supposed to watch. Maybe, some people would show up at his door, arrest him mom, and wisk him away and into kind and gentle arms. Whatever it was, he doubted it was every anything remotely close to what he got.
I mean, what child dreams to be dropped off in the rain, not knowing where you were, and watching as your guardian drives away, hoping to never see your miserable face again?
For a few days, Gold was forced to wander the streets of the small town of New Bark, poor, rainy weather that never seemed to let up following him every which way. Cold. Alone. Drenched. And yet, not a soul seemed to want to help him. He had no idea where his mother was, much less if she was ever coming back for him. But, to be as honest as possible, he really didn't care. That woman was the last person he wanted to see.
But the person who found him was just the opposite.
A man by the name Kolten Demien took note of the starving child out on the streets and offered a place to stay for a short while. At first, the six-year-old declined, not entirely trusting of the rest of society due to the wrongs previously done to him. However, after a bit of coaxing, the boy finally decided to go along with the man. Perhaps he had no intention at all to bring the boy to his home to warm him up a bit, guessing as the first thing the older of the two did was ask for the younger's address and drive there to see if his mother was still home. She wasn't. Figures.
It was then, and only then that the starving child was brought home. Not to the dirty, tiny aparment he was rarely allowed to leave while living with his cruel mother, but a cozy, warm place where the smell of food almost always filled the air. Though his stay was to be temporary, he, Kolten, and his wife, Claudia, all grew quite fond of one another, and, after a month or two, the boy was officially adopted. But there was always one person in that same building that always managed to get under his skin.
Crystal.
She was a goody two-shoes, even when she was as young as six years of age. She always got the best grades in the class and was always a little more wise beyond her years. Compared to her, the child who'd been denied an education for the longest time looked, very simply, like an idiot, and the girl with blue hair would never let him live it down. It wasn't until a little past his seventh birthday that he actually started going to school, and, even then, his grades could never compare to that of the wizz kid he was being forced to live with. At first, the two hated each other, each one always trying to best the other in anything and everything. These two took sibling rivalry to a new level.
However, over the next three or so years, they grew more fond of each other. What Crystal lacked in streets smarts, she made up for book smarts while what Gold lacked in book smarts, he made up in street smarts. In the end, they called a truce and decided that it'd be better to help each other out then try to best the other. They two become as close as two peas in a pod, doing everything they could together because, as a team, they were an unstopable force.
And it wa at this time that Gold thought he first started falling in love with Crystal.
[ What Time is It? ] Crystal had her ways of getting on everyone's good sides. This included the grumpy, local professor, Professor Elm. If anything, she was the only girl he liked in the entire town, and boy did he enjoy her company. She could convince him to let her do anything she wanted around his labratory and make him give her anything she wanted him to. But the blue-haired girl was a good girl, so she would never con someone into giving away any of their possessions. But there had always been one tiny exception to this rule - the professor's Pokemon.
You see, the Pokemon expert had gathered three especially rare Pokemon for research purposes and was currently blocking them off from the world. Crystal wanted nothing more then to be gifted one of these creatures and go on an adventure like so many kids her age were doing. This also happened to be the one thing that the professor would not let her have. It took almost an entire year, but the girl with anti gravitational pig tails finally managed to get Professor Elm to give up his prized Pokemon to she and her brother as long as they promised to also fill out his Poke' Dex for research purposes.
At first, the two were clueless as what to do. Gold had a Cyndaquil while Crys had claimed a Chikorita. They were offically trainers. But... what did a trainer do, exactly? Well, the answer came to them with a very unfortunate event. A robbery at the home of the very same professor who had gifted the two his most prize possessions. A Totodile, the last remaining starter Pokemon, had been kidnapped and the two swore to kidnap the person responsible. The culprit came sooner then expected. And, much to their surprise that very culprit was no different then they were.
It was on that day, when both had begged their way into their very first Pokemon that they met Silver.
Gold instantly challenged to red-head to a battle, claiming that, if he won, then the Totodile would be given back to Professor Elm. And battle they did. Even though the raven-haired boy claimed his very first victory in his future streak of them, the water-type was not returned and the theif managed to slip away. At first, the two siblings decided to make catching Silver their number one priority. However, as they battled together from city to city, both were introduced to the Pokemon League and it's many wonders and the less pleasent Team Rocket who treatened Johto every step of the way.
Gold took down gym leader after gym leader while Crystal spent her days capturing every Pocket Monster she possibly could to make up for the Pokemon they'd coaxed the professor out of. It turned out that the theif they'd been pursuing at first was also fighting against the wickedness of Team Rocket and the three put aside their differences and put an end to the evil organization's awful schemes. Gold moved on to compete in and win the Pokemon League, Crystal being the first and only person to every completely fill the Johto Poke' Dex, while Silver... Well, who knew what Silver was doing out there. All they knew was that the three had essencially become famous due to their achievements, rivalling that of the black-haired, red-eyed boy who had conquered the Kanto region three years in advance.
[ Returning to Normal Isn't That Easy ] So what next? Well, a lot of stuff happened between the time the three conquered Johto and Gold left to travel to the Lyeant region, though very few are note worthy. Most are just the fact that the siblings grew closer and closer to one another, hanging out like normal teenagers their age did and the two peppier ones of their mishapen trio convincinsing Silver to do a lot of stuff he probably didn't want to.
Then, of course, there was the incident with his mother.
The hospital had called the only living blood relative in the woman's close family, being the son that she'd abused all of those years ago to tell him that she'd been struggling with desease and was on her last legs. The raven-haired boy went to visit her, thinking that he would tell her all of the reasons why he hated her so much and how much better he was without her when two words he'd never thought he would ever heard her say came out of her mouth.
I'm sorry.
The woman died in peace, hearing the son she'd grown so proud of from the sidelines hear the simple words she never thought she'd hear him say.
I love you.
On a brighter note, Gold finally came to terms that his feelings towards Crystal weren't just that of a really close friendship or the fact that they were siblings. No, the dreaded four letter word was love. And, for a while, he never thought the feelings were mutual. However, this all changed when she decided to confess that she, herself, had "more then friends" feelings for the golden-eyed boy.
Fifteen mintues later, Mr. and Mrs. Demien caught sight of the two making out and did the first thing they could think of to do - boot him out.
[ All's Well that Ends Well ] So, what next? Well, with no where to go and news of a distant region where he could start anew, the prospect of moving to the Lyeant region where his achievements back in Johto wouldn't mean diddly squat and he could make a new name for himself sounded increasingly appealing to him. I guess everything past him saying his goodbyes to the girl he loves and hoping the the first boat he could to a distant region has yet to come. As for what's in store for this poor soul, we may never know.

Stormheart woke up bright and early, stretching out in a very nice stretch. It was still a little chilly out because the sun was just coming up, but he didn't care. The long-legged tom stepped around all of the other warriors in the den, careful to not trod on someones tail or paw and greeted the early morning with a large yawn. Today, he felt like a giddy apprentice on his first day of training. It was his first day of training, but not for himself. Russetstar had given him the new apprentice Breezepaw to train, and he was so excited that he had woken up early. His first apprentice! He could hear birds singing as they flew overhead of the pretty much deserted camp, as everyone else was sleeping. He knew that it would be rather mean to wake up Breezepaw up so early, but he hadn't been able to sleep after he had woken up. He was just too excited. Wanting to let the sun come up a little more, he sat down and gave his silver tabby pelt a thorough washing before standing and heading across camp to the apprentices den. He stuck his head inside the den, and heard the soft snoring of the apprentices. "Breezepaw! Time to get up! Training starts today!" Stormheart called into the den softly, trying his hardest not to wake up the other young cats. He sat in front of the den, his pale green eyes glowing and his tail twitching excitedly.
