((Sandile Hunting, Gligar as well though Sandile is preferred))
That certainly was a scare, Dayn. But i'm glad you're fit as a fiddle! he smiled, looking down at the feline Pokemon that padded alongside him. Artemis walked on the other side, allowing the young cat to take his position as the right hand Pokemon. After all, both were feeling somewhat guilty after their dominating battle with the Pokemon, perhaps this was their way of making it up to him. But the way the feline trusted him... it made him feel like dirt. Dayn, i'll give you a real reason to trust me. We're gonna build a bond, alright? That's they way it's supposed to be. We build eachother up, not beat the other against a tree... He thought to himself, somewhat of a personal promise.
Let's see what we can find here, shall we? He smiled, looking at the rather.... barren landscape ahead of them. It was rumored to be dangerous, but hopefully they weren't stepping into something dangerous. Artemis was on guard, as well as Dayn. However, it was adorable the way he kept watch; Dayn wouldn't be able to handle something like this by himself, but with their help, they'd train him up so nobody would beat him up like they did again. Perhaps they'd even find a new team member! Justin couldn't forget about Xero as well, the Poochyena they'd caught. There was no bad blood between the cat and dog, they just seemed to ignore eachother, which evaded drama which he was fine with. Training time... Justin purred. [/blockquote]

Route Three lived up to it's reputation of being a dangerous area. Trainers didn't have a clue why it was such a dangerous area if it was such a barren landscape. The major reason behind it all was the Camerupt's and their Numel minions setting off small earthquakes, or as trainer's knew the move as Magnitude. Some say the reason the Camerupt and Numel's make these small disasters to keep trainers away from their area, they hated it when a trainer would come and kill of numbers of their species by battling them and capturing them. This particular Numel was different though, he was an outcast in the society. No where to call home, and a family taken away by an evil band of humans. As a sole survivor of his family Numel had a very strong mind-set, his confidence wasn't all that spectacular but his ability to fend off humans and their pokemon out of his area was a sight most wouldn't expect to see. Numel was resting on the ground peacefully, this didn't happen often so he knew today must have been his lucky day. That wasn't true though, another intruder had entered the area and was nearing Numel's resting place. Numel woke from his rest, angry that it had been interrupted. As he looked around he noticed a human, and he had a few different pokemon out following him. Numel was clearly out numbered, but he didn't care. They had woken him up, and he seemed to be in a savage mood. Suddenly he knew what he had to do, protect his area of the barren landscape. With that thought in mind and the blood pumping quickly in his body Numel opened his mouth and shot fire red embers towards the trainer and his pokemon, that would teach them to be so ignorant. Dayn strode along peacefully, though occasionally he'd perk up his ears at the sound of a rustle or the caw of a flying bird Pokemon. Artemis cracked a bit of a smile, looking through the corner of his eye at the little feline. It seemed as though Dayn just found himself a protector. Justin couldn't help but smile at the relationships the Pokemon were building. If they were to become a good team and travel about, they were definitely supposed to have their own bonds to weather through the day to day struggles of being a trainer.
The scenic route was definitely paying off, though. Despite the barren-ness of it all, Justin couldnt help but find beauty in it. Just because a desert is barren doesn't mean it still isn't beautiful? He relished the chance to battle and photograph in it. In fact, he pulled his camera up to his face and snapped a few photos, only to be startled by the sound of something attacking, and the smell of fire.
Startled, Justin dropped his camera, which thumped against his chest, and turned to see what was going on. Artemis stood in front of him, arms extended to keep him safe from the fire. It had missed, but still. Something was to be done about this, the Pokemon had attacked them! The Lucario put up his fists, but Justin shook his head. No, I think i'm going to send in Xero for a bit of training. At the sound of his name, the Poochyena released from his pokeball, running in front of Justin to battle. The one track mind of the Poochyena wasn't to be disturbed by anything else other than battle. Xero, let's start this off with a bite! Justin called, readying his camera.

Numel watched as his Ember attack whisked past the Lucario, that defiantly wasn't the start he wanted. Now the Lucario was ready to battle, but it seemed the human re-called it from battling. Maybe they were scared of him, that usually didn't happen until he unleashed his full power onto his opponent. Quickly Numel was greeted by a Poocheyena that released itself from it's pokeball. It was glaring at him angrily, and Numel was doing the same to him. There was a sense of hatred between the two, yet they had only seen each other for a mere few seconds. Numel felt his body in pain as the trainer's Poocheyena latched it's sharp teeth onto his body, and that was when blood started to leak from the wounds left behind thanks to the small wolf like pokemon. Numel screeched in pain until the Poocheyena let go of him. Once he did though he used his mind to ignore the pain he was feeling and it made him even angrier then before. This certainly looked like it was going to be a challenge for him, he wasn't very confident about winning but he was more focused on hurting the Poocheyena and making them all go away. Numel begun to run forward on all four legs, with each few gallop like steps that he took he felt his heart race faster, meaning more blood was flowing out of his wounds. Numel was leaving behind a trail of blood wherever he ran, and he was going to make his opponent feel the same grief he was in. Poocheyena was watching him closely from what it looked like, but he wasn't going to let his Tackle attack not hit. Time seemed to give Xero strength as he battled, gaining the experience needed to gain power and go about battling. Despite gaining such power, it would seem as though he was not yet invincible as he'd hoped. Xero was slammed into by the Numel, suffering the damage from the tackle. However, it wasn't going to be near enough to keep the Pokemon down for long.
Attaboy, Xero! Justin called, scrolling through his pictures of that impact. He captured the Numel charge, the impact, Xero's determined look as he stood up to face him again, and even, er... blurry. Despite such, Justin's camera was back up to his face while Xero's eyes growled at Numel, probably in an attempt to intimidate before charging once more with the next attack. Growing stronger with each hit seemed to help. Let's go, Xero! hey... that rhymed... er! Sorry! Bite it again!

Numel was aggravated not only that these intruders had disrupted him, but the human was taking photographs of the battle. The flash of the camera was something that Numel hated, if the human were to turn it on he would burn him to a crisp, much like he had done to a previous human that tried the same tactic but failed. Numel realized this wasn't going to be an easy battle to win, but he wasn't going down without a fight. Crashing his body into the Poochyena's body was a feeling that excited Numel and made him want to keep doing it over and over to cause pain to the small wolf pokemon. Poochyena growled angrily at Numel, he wasn't very happy to have been smashed to the ground from what it looked like. Soon enough though he dashed towards him, again he latched his sharp vicious teeth into Numel's body as the Bite attack drew more blood then before, although this time it was in different places then before on his body. Now the multiple wounds were leaking with blood, and the pain was hard to ignore for Numel. Numel begun to hit his head onto Poochyena's body until the small wolf pokemon let go, the pain was starting to get worse as time passed. Numel was getting angrier every-time he was attacked by Poochyena, his mind was filled with clouds of rage that blocked his sense of strategy from coming out. Instead of running towards the wolf pokemon and tackling it again Numel decided to take a deep breath of air in as he felt his stomach filling with hot air. Keeping a keen eye on his opponent, Numel opened his mouth and shot out balls of fire towards Poochyena. Whilst the Ember attack traveled towards his opponent Numel took the time to take a few deep breath's to slow down his heart beat, thus resulting in less blood loss and it would also help clam himself down. Run Away - Flee's from Pokemon without failure Xero | Male Poochyena | Level 11 Bite | Tackle | Sand Attack | Howl HP: 34/50
Snarling with rage as the flames licked at his fur, Xero jumped back as far as he could to save himself from catching on fire. However, the injury was still there. The heat from the attack only angered the pup more, causing his one track mind to focus solely on the Numel, and it's demise. You've made a mistake... Xero growled, tail thrashing back and forth with anger.
Justin could tell his Pokemon was getting riled up, which was perfect for his species and the battle. Even though his ability was used for running away, there was no running away for Xero. He'd never allow it. He'd always tackle the opposition head on, as opposed to turning tail and running away from it. Something he respected the pup for, despite only being with it for this duration of the battle.
However, the pup was ready to attack once more. As much as he wanted to use another attack, Bite seemed to be doing a good number on the Pokemon, so he didn't want to change up now. He wanted to finish before the Numel had other ideas and used stronger attacks. Two turns of attacks was starting to take it's toll on Xero. Let's try and finish this quick, bud! Crunch it again with all you've got! He called out, hoping that the strength Xero had accumulated throughout the battle would help.

'You've made the mistake don't you mean, you should leave now before you get hurt.' Numel snarled at the Poochyena. Quickly Numel was greeted with an severely powerful attack known as Crunch, and it was almost double the pain the Poochyena's Bite attack had given him. Numel screeched in sheer pain as he felt some of his body parts have no feeling for a few moments, his body was numb once the feeling came back though. He felt like crying, but he refrained from it so he wouldn't look like a wimp in front of his opponent. Poochyena was certainly putting up a fight against him, but he wasn't going to back down this far into the battle, he had to protect his area at all costs. Humans were a pain in Numel's mind, they thought they were doing good by training on wild pokemon like himself, but it was only killing off the population of species like Numel's. Anger was clouding Numel's mind, he couldn't think straight with all these thoughts rushing through his mind and the pain his body was feeling. The wounds which were previously bleeding seemed to have slowed down with the blood flow rushing out of his body, it was weird because his body pulse was increasing as he when into a deeper state of anger. An extremely hot bunch of fire was brewing in Numel's stomach as he opened his mouth and shot them towards Poochyena, he hoped his Ember attack would burn the wolf pokemon to smithereens. It would seem that Poochyena's new attack Crunch did a good number on the numel, which pleased Justin to no end. Hopefully now they'd luck out and finish this. Justin was always about finishing battles. After all, finishing them on the victorious side was always alot more fun than finishing upon the losers side. Not that Justin would know though. His battles so far all ended with him victorious, a prospect that both thrilled him but also terrified him. How would the trainer deal with loss, anyways?
Great hit, Xero! The trainer praised, and the wolf pup gave his tail a wag in acknowledgement of the trainers call. He was sure what attack was about to come next, judging by the rumbling from the Numel's belly. The flames licked out, once again singing at the pup's pelt, making him whimper out in pain. Xero gave a snarl before bristling his fur once more, casting a glance at Justin for his next move. Crunch time!

Numel felt a sense of pride knowing he was doing well against a stronger opponent then himself, and it looked as though the Poochyena was taking a beating much like he was. Numel could see though that Poochyena had more health left, meaning it was highly likely to win the battle. Watching Poochyena whimper in pain as the ember's burnt his fur made Numel smile happily. He didn't have much energy after taking that last Crunch attack and couldn't withstand another one of the dangerously strong attacks. Poochyena's trainer looked to be happy that his pokemon was putting up a fight against him, humans were all control hungry beings that needed to be taught a lesson. They would teach their pokemon to be obedient and all other sorts of things, but trainer owned pokemon didn't have the freedom like Numel did. As Poochyena's last Crunch attack hit Numel he felt his eyes roll to the back of his head as the pain in his body was to painful to handle, he fell to the ground, fainted. He just hoped the trainer and his pokemon would just move along and leave him to heal, he didn't want to be a trainer owned pokemon. The Numel fell to the power of the second crunch, making Justin and Xero the winners of the fight. The other dog Pokemon, his Lucario, dipped his head to Xero when he returned to Justin's side, tail wagging intensely. He let loose a howl to claim his victory, and was then returned to the pokeball for a good rest. Dayn had been watching eagerly, although he couldn't have participated in that battle, unfortunately. However, the next one would hopefully include the electric feline as well. So whatta ya say, catch or no? He asked, and the Lucario's head shook side to side.
Yeah... it didn't seem to like me all that much. I'd love to have a Numel on the team, but... I don't wanna take him from his home if he doesn't want to. But, maybe I could warm his heart up a bit. He concluded, dropping the pokeball on him, picking it up, and then stepping over the space to continue along the barren landscape. Perhaps something would show up worth while, and give the eager Shinx something to battle. Dayn pawed at Justin's leg, so he picked him up and held him in his arms while they walked. The feline only purred. Artemis reached over and gave the cat's head a ruffle before returning to his scanning mode, watching for any signs of life.

Sandile watched on as yet another resident of the barren landscape was taken away by a human, it was criminal what they were doing. Route three soon may soon not only have a barren landscape but also a lack of pokemon species residing in the area. Sandile was different to every other one of his species in the desert like area, his father was a warlord and if anyone were to hurt his son then they would have to pay the price of putting up with him. Sandile stepped out directly in front of the human and his pokemon, he was confident he could defeat them and send them out of the area and do what Numel could not do. Sandile stared directly into the Shinx's eye's, his ability to intimidate his opponent was a vital advantage that he had been tought to take advantage of. Sandile confidently knew in the back of his mind that even if he were to fail against the human and his pokemon that he would be rescued by his father. So, an early challenge already? Dayn shuddered at the Sandile, and hid behind Justin's leg, unconfidently. His attack was already lowered, so why even go out and fight? Besides, he was too young compared to the Sandile, his level was lower and everything. Artemis gave him a pat, while Justin tended to the scratches on his arm from the fearful feline. Justin thought he wanted to battle, but that might have not been the case. You alright, bud? I mean, you don't gotta battle if you don't want to.. Justin murmured to the cat, but with a shake of his head, although he was scared, he was going to face the Sandile.
Dayn bounded in front of Justin and let his fur bristle, letting out a snarl of his own to lower the Sandile's attack with his own intimidate as well. Despite his cute stature, he wouldn't be bested easily in battle. At least, not of Dayn could help it. Using the Sandile's medicine against him, Dayn prepared his first attack. Well, your electric attacks won't work, so... go for a leer. Let's lower some defenses.

Sandile already had an advantage by lowering the attack of the Shinx, but he had forgotten his opponent also had the same ability. Shinx was one of those pokemon that most people expected to have a cute calm nature, but naturally they had an intimidating side to them through all that soft stuff. Sandile heard the human speaking to his Shinx, his electric type attacks weren't effective against Sandile, now he knew the battle was turning even more into his favor. Although, his thoughts were proved wrong as Shinx shot red beams from his eyes at Sandile, when they hit the desert alligator's eye he felt blinded. That was a smart move by the Shinx, but he wasn't happy now that his eyes were throbbing in pain. Sandile knew not to touch his sore eyes to cause irritation, instead he continued to blink so the tear ducts in his eye would release tears to cleanse his eyes of the pain. Sandile was off guard during this process, but that didn't stop his thoughts about what to attack with on the Shinx. If the little electric type cat wanted to play a stat lowering game then he was all for it, the battle would hopefully go his way as he seemed to be the stronger pokemon. Once Sandile's eyes felt good to go he shot his own red beams towards Shinx's eyes as he used Leer to lower his opponents defense. Sandile Leer | Rage | Bite | Sand-Attack Intimidate Male / Level 11 HP: 55/55 Status: [-1 Atk] [-1 Def] Wild Sandie's attack was lowered by Shinx's ability Intimidate. Wild Sandile was hit by Leer. It was becoming a game of stats, and Justin didn't like that. Dayn was lower level than the Sandile, and even so he still wanted to fight it. Justin wouldn't stop him, but he had tried to at least make things easier for the shinx. However, it seemed as though that was just silly and the Sandile was going to do the same thing. He was afraid if he commanded Dayn to attack though... things might attack back, and with the levels..
Looks like we're back in the same place we started then. Justin chuckled, but still seemed to be in the battle. His camera hung at his neck, but he wouldn't touch it. No distractions when Dayn was out, not in this battle... Let's go ahead and try your tackle then. Be prepared, Buddy... He warned, and the Shinx gave a little yip.
